There are freakin' warnings in game manuals and saying that SEGA produced software and hardware products that were defective and unreasonably dangerous is like saying anything with an electronic screen is dangerous...

and how the fuck do you get epilepsy from crazy taxi? and how the fuck did those bastards win the nintendo lawsuits? THERE ARE MUTHER FUCKING WARNINGS ALL OVER THE GOD DAMNED PLACE. THERE IS NO WAY TO WIN A LAWSUIT LIKE THAT!!!

I FUCKING HATE PEOPLE THESE DAYS ESPECIALLY PARENTS AND RETARDED POLITICIANS THAT TRY TO BLAME EVERYTHING AND MAKE MONEY ON THE VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY...

How is it defective? If the game runs, it is not defective. If they can be sued, I want them to stop putting in those stupid epilepsy warnings in the manuals.

OK, the daughter had a seizure. I feel sorry for her but could Sega have done anything to prevent this? No. It was said that the girl never APPARENTLY showed epilepsy symptoms.

I'll bet the daughter DID have this predisposition, but maybe wasn't exposed to video games before.

If you read at the bottom of the news article,they said that crazy taxi is on GC,DC,ps2 and XBOX.Crazy taxi 1 was not released on XBOX so i guess its just a typo.Funny that crazy taxi is not much of a violent game and it comes under the hot suit.


I heard that crazy taxi Next is coming to XBOX.

I tell ya this is one of the most irritating things in the world. Espicially when it's against my baby, SEGA. These idiotic parents can't take responsibility for anything so they blame it on video games. I too feel sorry for the kid, but there are warnings with the systems and with the games. In closing:

I'll tell you what the trouble is here:

In the olden days, parents would 1) spank, 2) belt-whip, or 3) paddle their children with relative impunity. Parents just about had what in the Roman days was called "imperium." That is, they had nigh-absolute power over their children. These days, the government would have something to say about that, to the tune of "don't do that." But most importantly, parents took the responsibility that came with their duties. Parents actually gave a damn, and they were allowed to act on their damn-giving.

Fast forward a bit, Tom Zenk ;) , to today. Parents let their kids run wild because child psychologists say this is healthy--that kids are meant to roam wild and free. With this, when the kids screw up, the parents pretty much waive their responsibilities. They don't want to admit that they as parents fucked up, so they blame the nearest thing they can find.

poor girl :( Not only does she have an idiotic parent, but she won't be able to play video games like the rest of her friends. I don't know if the parent is married, but if she was, she probably got a divorce to get 50% of the estate/money/ etc. If she had a husband... he would have sat her down and made her think logically :)

And about the spanking kids issue, I'll still do it and I will discipline my child. I do not care if other people and shrinks see it as bad. A person learns best by making mistakes and being corrected (trial by error approach).

that's what I said, but if you look at the article, it says nintendo was sued for mario kart for the same reasons... there were 2 suits actually and each was won by the idiotic parents. apparently lawyers can get around these things which is plain fucked up. i won't be surprised if sega loses, but i hope the parent (s) burns in fucking hell for that.

Well you can sue someone nowadays for anything, if someone flips you the bird, you could sue them for emotional distress. I think anyone who trys to sue for something pointless, and lose's should be forced to serve jailtime as an example to others to stop wasting the court systems money :)
