I think the highest they got on SNES was 32 megs. Games like Super Street Fighter, Donkey Kong Country Series, Street Fighter Alpha 2 (with special chip)...

I dont know if anything went past 32.

Ahh, thankyou. I stand corrected.

Well, on the subject of this Meg count business. What is Meggiest Genesis game?

Was it Super Street Fighter at 40 Megs?

I always thought it was earthbound- there had to be some reason it sold for $80+

I think Earthbound sold for so much because it was one of the first US "Collectors Edition" type games. It came in a suitcase-sized box that had a bunch of stuff in it.

It's got to be Super Street Fighter II on the Genesis without a doubt.

LOL .. and yes it was that game with 40 megs ... and they did a good job too and they had to cram it all in and used a special compression chip to allow more information on it to get it at 40 megs

compared to the snes version though the game was shit, characters were way too small.

Tales of Phantasia for sure was the largest SFC cart
for Genesis i do not think it is Street fighter.
Wasn't there an RPG that had exapsiv RAm in the cart?
