Dunno about Waku Waku 7, but I know all the other games do need a Ram cart, probably Waku Waku 7 aswell (not sure trough!)

If I remember correctly, when I used to own Waku Waku 7, I didn't have the 1-meg RAM Cart and it played, but I'm pretty sure the backgrounds were messed up... They were extremely pixelated, to the point where what looked like a dog jumping around in the background looked worse than a 2600 game... I traded the game shortly after that, I thought that was how the backgrounds were supposed to look, but it was apparently because I wasn't using the 1-meg cart...

So in a nutshell, you kinda need it. :D

Waku Waku 7
I *believe* this game works with the 4 meg ram. NOT SURE THOUGH. It for sure works with the 1 meg ram and is *probably* needed.

Metal Slug
1 meg needed, and I *think* it's compatible with the 4 meg ram.

Real Bout Collection
Now this stinks. RBS is compatible with either the 1 or 4 meg ram. Real Bout on the other hand only supports the 1 meg. That sucks for 4 meg ram users...

Samurai Showdown 4
Needs the 1 meg, gets screwed up if played with the 4 ram.

King of Fighters '95
Special ram needed I think.

King of Fighters '96
1 meg ram only. 4 meg will screw things up.

King of Fighters '97
Compatible with either.

You got them all right except '95. It doesn't use the RAM cart. It was the FIRST combination cart/cd game. It came with a ROM cart for use ONLY with KOF'95. Also ULTRAMAN came this way too. They are actually pretty damn close to the Home cart. IF you have same character vs. same character there is no loading and it's just like the home cart/mvs. Hope this helps..... :)

These SNK games on Saturn were great translations, but the 1Meg cart thing was a pain in the ass.

Why couldn't they just go with the 4MEG and make it easy?? My KoF 96 gets screwed up with the 4Meg all the time.. <img src="graemlins/ohno.gif" border="0" alt="[Oh No]" />

Will the 4 meg cart make the game run faster and cleaner? I mean, you never know if more power makes a game run better (PS2 for example, doesn't improve many PSX games).

Wasabi, the 4 meg ram does not always improve the system's power. The Saturn is not like a Computer, where extra ram would help it.

Some games are actually affected in a NEGATIVE way with the 4 ram plugged in. Most games though, choose to ignore it, but some suffer.

Be it slightly longer loading times and whatnot. It sucks in that sense, but oh well, just something you'll have to deal with if the 4 ram is all you got.

I remember one of the capcom versus games i had needed the 4 meg ram cart, it still played good enough without it,although some frames of animation was missing, it still looked fine though.

That isn't a versus game then. The only versus games that came out were..

X-men vs. Street Fighter
Marvel vs. Street Fighter

and BOTH of them required the 4-MEG ram cart. The only games that didn't require the ram cart and ran where the ones that used the 1-MEG ram cart....

Marvel Super Heroes
Cyberbots
PocketFighter
Dungeons and Dragons Collection Disc 2

The other games that required it as well and was not a versus game was..

Vampire Savior
Street Fighter Zero 3
Final Fight Revenge

I think you are talking about Marvel Super Heroes Lee, not a versus game........
