Heres one anime lover right here and the ripe old age of 18. Being a poor college student, I don't have the money to buy a lot of anime.

My favorite animes are Eva, Cowboy Bebop, G Gundam, and GTO.

I never really got into anime besides a few notable exceptions (princess mononoke, spirited away and neon genesis). Whats the big draw?

Between consigning animation to children's stories and consigning sci-fi and fantasy to sub-par writers and cheesy effects, the US doesn't really have an equivalent of anime. The closest we can get is Star Wars, which was heavily influenced by Japan (ie Kurosawa).

and lots of money to buy the anime series.

Seriously though, I like anime simply because it breaks free from the mold set by american cartoons. I also feel it can be more expressive than live-action at times.

Been a Fan of anime before it became so main stream here in the USA. I remember importing LD's and VHS tapes for over 100.00 $ Boy have times changed Im glad though it has caught the eye of so many. Im 26 and Still going Strong.

I would say that I am a lover of Anime on DVD. I have roughly 580 DVDs, where only about 100 are regular movies. Everything else is either an Anime movie or series. It's amazing how much comes out and how much I still haven't seen. I also like to read Manga.

To answer your other question, I'm 23.

Oh a side note, don't see the AOF anime it sucks. They start of looking for a $500 cat to make paments on the dojo. Robert is dressed in a disco suit for part of it. Robert's hair is brown and Ryo's is black for some reason. The weirdest part is thing in it is Todo being the police chief.

I'm yet another Anime fan.
I tend to buy 4-6 DVD's a month.
I'd watch more but getting the stuff imported from America takes ages and can be a bit pricey (horray for import tax <img src="graemlins/mad2.gif" border="0" alt="[Mad 2]" /> )

Love it, age: 22

Loved it from the first series I ever saw (some kind of mecha series, never saw it again).

Favourites:

Berserk, El-Hazard, Giant Robo, Boogiepop phantom, Irresponsible Captain Tylor and more.

I tend to like older series better then the new ones. I get most of my stuff on svcd (yeah, I know) and buy R2 when decent series are released on it.

All I have to say is why oh why can't we get Kodomo no Omocha here in the states. I have some fansubs and think its great. What must I do to get an official U.S. Kodomo no Omocha release damn it.
