Yeah, like the title says... I directed a music video.

I worked with Fourth Grade Security Risk ( <a href="http://www.geocities.com/fgsrgunman/index.html" target="_blank">http://www.geocities.com/fgsrgunman/index.html</a> ) on bringing their hit single Farm Trip '89 to life visually.

Here's a couple links where it can be downloaded:

Windows Media Player version (3.48mb):
<a href="http://www.hivebalur.net/top25/farmtrip.wmv" target="_blank">www.hivebalur.net/top25/farmtrip.wmv</a>

Real Player version (4.5mb):
<a href="http://www.hivebalur.net/top25/farmtrip.rm" target="_blank">www.hivebalur.net/top25/farmtrip.rm</a>

Let me know what you guys think of it... I'm planning on doing many more videos for the band. It should be fun...

:D

Umm... "Go Canada?"

Very interesting first video. Nice editting effects. Interesting background music. I'm interested in seeing the next one.

I kept seeing "no outlet" everywhere. I imagine that was intended. Nice mix of black & white.

the one caveat I should mention is with the audio: the words and background didn't really blend. The only reason I bring it up is for contructive criticism.

Can't wait to see your next work.

Cool, glad you guys liked it. :D Yeah, the "No Outlet" was intended, cause y'know there's no outlet from the farmland, right? It's less subliminal in my 50 meg .mpg of it, it's around for a few more frames giving it the effect of repetition and transition... A warning, if you will.

I did what I could making the words match up with the background, but that was hard... There's not much farmland around here, I mean there is in Maryland but you need to drive for a while to get to it... The only farmland that was near me was this quarter mile long stretch of it which was absolutely perfect, that's where I got the silo shots, the cows, all of the unabashed farm shots... The rest were pretty much run down houses I shot on the way that I thought looked cool... Plus the cemetery that we wandered in to. :D

Heh, yeah I understand about the music... Some of his songs are really funny. Some of them have extremely intelligent lyrics with a lot of meaning, but this doesn't happen to be one of them... It's just what we got the idea to shoot a video for first. :)

I can't wait to start on my next one, it's going to be awesome... It might even feature the destruction of a television set! :D
