Its not... that bad... It has some good games coming out to help it. It just had a bad start. You watch, steel battalion will own, and xbox live is gonna be cool. And, yeah thats it.

I don't personally like the X-Box myself, but when the price drops to $100, I'll pick it up for Halo, Halo 2, Steel Battalion and the internal mods I an do to it!

I wish it would fail, but that won't happen with the money M$ will throw at it to MAKE it work...

Why on earth would anyone wish a console to fail?

Oh, well.

XBox is definately my favorite of the 'current three'. It has the best exclusive titles (especially with Sega's massive support) and the only worthwhile online console strategy.

OK...

The guy even admits right off the bat that he's a hardcore PC gamer, who all seem to universally dislike the X-Box. As far as system design, well....

PS2 forces you to buy a Network Adaptor. The hard drive for that machine is prohibitively expensive...the main reason we'll never see Final Fantasy XI here. The GameCube also forces you to pick up either the Modem or Broadband Adaptor. That's another chunk of cash for either system, where the X-Box comes with it's broadband and hard drive built right in.

I think if you have any serious interest in online gaming, the X-Box is your system of choice. I for one think Halo, Unreal Championship, and Panzer Dragoon Orta all make the system very much worth owning.

BTW, as I am quick to point out in every one of these lame system war threads, I own all three, and think they all have their own positive merits.

I agree that he's right on all 7 points. Especially his point about "kiddie games" - I'll be damned if Bloodwake is better than Mario Sunshine just because it's not a kiddie game and has better "graphics."

Because I would like to see M$ fail at something they are willing to flush money for. I hate M$ tactics when it comes to business, and it doesn't appear as though they plan to play any other way in the console business (buy everyone up they can and try and outlast everyone else).

I saw that yesterday and I agree with the guy. I don't understand what's the anticipation of playing online when you can already have better online games on the big brother of the XBox, the PC.

Unless they can show me a game that I will want so bad that I will check every site about it every day, I'm not buying it. Hitman 2 is the same on the PC. Why should I bother buying the XBox for it. There's only MGS2: Substance that holds my attention, besides that there's nothing.

I guess you're right, and at least the X-Box isn't a poorly designed piece of shit that breaks all the time like the PS2... Well, then again, I can't say that anything Sony's done is WORSE than M$, maybe on a similar level(s)?

Point taken. Doesn't mean I'll support the X-Box any time soon. When there is more than 5+ games on the system that I would want, maybe I'll pick one up then (or it drops to $100, whichever comes first).

I own an XBOX (I own all three systems) and I STILL agree with him on all points. It was funny and over-the-top for a reason: to piss off people and make others laugh. More like "Star Wars: Obi-Wanna-Play-A-Different-Game" had me dying.

Somehow I feel responsible for this thread...

I just like XBox a lot right now (it's becoming my favorite of the 3 consoles) because it's getting Steel Batallion, CvS2 Online, MvC2 Online, PSO for a cheaper price, and a lot of other "cool" titles that we won't really see on other consoles.

PS2 is winning like a bitch and won't be stopped. As such it has the most good games.

GC has exclusive titles that you won't get anywhere else, and it has the most "wierd" or quirky titles (like Animal Crossing, etc). So a lot of people dig that (*looks at Blaine*). And even though it has a "rehashed" Mario, it's still MAD fun and has it's own innovations that ARE good. And I've said it before about "Celda" No matter how gay it looks, you KNOW it's going to be good.

XBox has got Online, by far and away it's got the BEST online plan and it's doing things for the "Hardcore" gamers. Online 2D fighters, that's to bring in the "hardcore", and Steel Battalion, no mainstream company has attempted something like this since well SNK.

They are all good, so please, stop the bitching.
