I never had a pet die on me, but I just got home from the vet with my first dog... she's 10 and hasn't been lookin good latley, we found out she has cancer and the doctor gave her 6 months

I hate when unexpected shit comes at you like this, I swear it's just God shitting in my face... With me be in and out of the hospital, my mom sick, and now this.. It's fucked, I don't care what anyone says

These threads make me all emotional.

If the animal is in pain, then it's for the best that they be put to sleep.

I miss my dog...

I just brought my cat Katja home from the vet. She broke her hip and required surgery.

It cost me almost 800 bucks, but I can't imagine not paying for it.

damn that sucks big time cause i know that feeling. Happened when i was in the 6th grade, the vet had given my dog two or three months to live, like at the end of that same month i came home from school(i'm always the first to get home) and there was my dog(named him shadow cause even as a puppy he followed me like one) laying dead under the window of my room :(

Nevermind - I was going to tell you about my dog I had for 14 years growing up, but I can't do it. Just keep remembering the good times you had together, that way you'll never forget them.

I am really sorry about your dog, Anak. The poor thing must be in some kind of pain.

My Dog died about a year ago a month or two after I moved out of my parents place. Every time I go home I walk up to the back door in the back of my head I expect to see her throught the window getting up from her bed by the TV to come and greet me. I'm a little surpised that she's not and I get depressed.

Man I'm gettin kinda Misty.

It sucks to loose a pet you love , but its worse when you know its coming !

Some years ago I had to put my Queensland Healer down [ shot her myself actually } I sort of countered the pain of loosing her bye getting another dog prior to actually killing her.

And guess what ,It really works, I havent looked back since , I love this dog probably more than I loved her and its really going to hurt when He goes.
I think as pet owners we get gyped by the short lifespan of our pets , but look at it this way , it also gives us the opertunity to have different types of dogs and cats and experience different things and personalities that come along with them.

Not any more. Just take their DNA and get them cloned. :)
