If you have and know a lot about the Persona Series lets socialise here.

Persona 2 to me is the greatest RPG Ever to me because they carry over the key characters from the first game and add new heroes as well Ive gotten pretty far in the first persona but iv'e beaten the second one.

bascially I wanna know with this thread who has played the series so I can talk about it with fellow posters.'

The Megami Tensei series is probably my favourite series of RPGS. I collect them to an extent.

I particularly enjoyed Persona. It really had just the right amount of complexity as far as the fusion system was concerned. The dungeons were very well designed. Even though there wasn't a lot of spoken dialogue in the game, it felt like it had a lot more story than it actually did. The dungeons themselves kinda added character and story to the game. That impresses me, because I've never played a game that did that.

So far from what I've played of Persona 2 (about 40 hours) I don't really like it as much. Naturally I love the game bacause it's Megami Tensei, but it just doesn't have what the first one did. The dungeons don't have the same feeling, and they really drag on. It's kinda hard for me to play a game that's almost solely dungeons, each of which taking about 2.5 to 3 hours to fully complete. That's not even mapping them either. The story's great, and the only thing I miss about the combat system is the use of melee weapons or firearms. The system for convincing demons is pretty cool, and a slight improvement on the first one. Tatsuo rocks. I don't think that any one other than Kazuma could pull off the character art with that distinct feeling. They're overstylized, but in a good way. I've always appreciated the art in those games.
