Hi all! New here...some questions too

Hey everybody!

Just registered yesterday, so I thought I should post something.

I've always been a huge SNK fan...personally, I like their characters more and I think they're a lot better at storylines and character development than Capcom. (The Orochi storyline was great... wasn't that impressed with the NESTs thing though.. like "Hey! Let's make a bunch of Kyo clones and take over the world!" )

Anyways, I was wondering if there was a cheaper alternative to buying a Neo Geo system and games and stuff.

Because the console and games are just so incredibly expensive...

And 'no' I don't mean Dreamcast or anything, just some type of system that will play just SNK games, like I dunno.. I heard of a SuperGun I think.

Also, I heard of some type of system thing that just lets you plug in the boards themselves so you can play them on your TV?

I do have to admit, I've spent most of my time playing SNK stuff on emulators (a la NeoRAGE). But I just think my time of that is over and I want to play it how it was supposed to be played: on a TV on an actual console of some type.) And, "yes" I know it was supposed to be played in the arcade but I think you all know what I'm getting at.

Well.. any help would be appreciated.

Don't sweat it. NeoRage is what pushed me into buying a Neo-Geo. Goto <a href="http://www.mad-gear.com" target="_blank">Mad Gear</a> and check out 16-bits page. I bought just about all of my neo stuff from him. He is great to deal with and has really great prices. I got my system from him for $200 and it works like a charm. No box or dox but that doesnt matter if you just want to play the game.
I have 13 games for the system, most I also bought from him. I got them all from $25-$105 each. So there are quite a few gams you can buy really cheep.

If you go the supergun direction in the long run would also be cheeper since the MVS games are less expensive. But you also dont get the art work. To me I want the whole thing Box Dox and cart.

Either way is much better than playing it on an emulator. The experience is totally different.
