I at the Moment its abit scarce but i belive in the future this will be worth big money and become one of the DC's rarest release's.....still not as good as Grandia 2 though IMO

it was fairly tough to come across when it was first released as well...stores would get limited copies in and sell out quickly. i'd have to say that it was one of the lesser produced games.

I snagged a new copy off ebay the other day for $20. Not bad considering I haven't been able to find it locally since it's release.

the only detractor is too many enemy encounters
in the air.

Just to let you know, I'm still selling/trading that game (US) along with some other things. Had a post about it in the selling forum a few days back.

Have you played it yet?

Get a copy of it! It is probably one of the best RPG on DC!

I have a US Version, too!

God, I couldn't STAND that game! I fail to see how it generated so much hype. The game might have been a little fun (concept was good) if it wasn't for the TEDIOUS BATTLES! I mean, damn, I don't think I've ever been so bored. Dragging through 15 minute ordeals every 5 steps gets old...FAST!

I miss the old days of RPGs, where one would whip in an out of battles in 10 seconds flat...

Maybe, but the ship-fights are very cool!

With either "Little Jack" or "Imperial Ship"

And I loved "exploring"! I got all Explorations!

Who gives a fuck if you have all versions?
Do you think you can jack up price like Metal Slug?

What a stupid fuck.

I have some NEW JPN limited box edition and it's a lot better than your sorry US version.

Skies of Arcadia is cool. It's also got some badass graphics in it. Especially in that part where you go that first tower that flows in the sky and you are walking outside on these see through walkways. Now that is some kickass graphics!

Why would ANYONE buy RPG's in their Japanese releases? What a freaking waste, trying to wade through tons of japanese menus . . . maybe OK for shooters and fighting games, but FORGET it for RPGs . . .

I already have that awesome RPG.
BTW,sega announced that they are porting SOA to the ps2 and gamecube not long ago!
To those who don't have luck in finding that game could wait for the ps2 and GC versions.

I still see SoA at some stores here and there. It's not as hard to find as some other DC games are getting to be, like Mr. Driller and Marvel vs Capcom 2.

I got SoA on the day of it's US release. What an excellent game. Good story, good characters, and lots of exploration. It is, in my opinion, the best RPG on Dreamcast, and it's one of my favorite RPGs ever.
