I kicked Buyrites ass, and they BANNED me!

Well a little update on my past Buyrite story, where they charged my card for something they never sent, and were forcing me to take store credit (and then stopped replying to emails).

Well after filing a complaint with my credit card company against them, and getting a Complaint form sent from my CC company to the person on their account (shortly after would have followed a letter from my lawyer), I got a call today from my CC company, letting me know that my card was refunded the total ammount.

Now this is where it gets good, ever since the day they "screwed me", I tried emailing them about this, I sent them 3 emails over a 2 week period, with no reply (they were ignoring me), so after that I've been sending them 2 emails every other day (one in the morning and one at night), about this matter (the same typed letter). Not to mention over this whole period, I recieved several "junk" mails from them, advertising new games and sales. Like I'd order anything else after they just screwed me over.

Well today I get an email back from them, letting my know my account was refunded, and if I keep emailing them they were going to report me to my ISP and my "State" Department for Harrassment (I doubt the monkeys that work there would know how, they can't even pack a box right).

Not only that, but that I am BANNED from ever making any more orders from their company, address/name and CC account! How fucking rich is that! I guess they don't like people who won't roll over and let them fuck em'.

Oh well, I'm quite proud, as I was never going to order from them again anyways.

That sucks, playthegames is just as bad, had problems with them the first time I ever ordered from them (got a DOA mod chip for Dreamcast, and took them 3 weeks to send a replacement).

Very cool.

BTW, I seem to recall hearing that www.playthegames.com was a guy working out of his parents' basement, who did not bother acquiring the merchandise he listed for sale until someone actually purchased it from him, at which point he went out and bought the stuff and sent it to the people who ordered.

Wow really? Funny how the "picture" of their store is only of the front door, but I think they list the address too, so I don't know. Has anyone been there?

Buyrite for example, is a little bitty cubbie hole of a store in a dirt mall, since my friend that lives in NC actually has been to their store. He said they also run a flea market table on weekends selling games.

I know though that playthegames does do that, they dont get a game in until someone orders it, since I heard they get almost all their stock from Game Choice Club HK, and just jack the price up 5-10 dollars on their site.

Play the games told me my stuff was in the mail... and they never sent it. So then I went to VGD, and got some good service.

Glad to know that Buyrite is the inaugural member and president for life of the "Caris Nautilus Kiss My Ass Club."

Seriously, I've never done business with them myself, but not for the reasons you cited--I just never did business with them because some of the prices they asked seemed to bring me to the conclusion that the vending machines in their break room served paint chips, rather than the customary potato.

Good going drift.

After my last fiasco with buyrite, I won't order from their sorry asses again.
