I got mine when it first came out. I got about 90 games for it. I remeber the games where all $249 a piece. But it was pocket change nonetheless.

You can get one for a -fraction- of that price if you look around. The one in the Neo Store is still new (after many, many years). It's purely a collectors item. I recommend trying eBay or Game Dude -You may find one, and if your willing to not worry about a few scratches, you'll be set. Check the Neo Glossary for other sources.

Good luck ;)

Definately try ebay. I found an aes system for 90 bucks, hardly bad. The cooler games are pretty expensive though.... which sucks. Thinking of getting the phantom converter.... MVS sounds good, probably the only way Id be able to collect the real bout collection I want.

Bloody hell you must Robert Garcia relative, I mean I have every game on the Neo Geo CD, but thats cause it's cheap , now it's time for the MVS and AES, which I have started colleting for.

I got my Neo-Geo system back in November. Since then, I have four AES carts (Shin Samurai Spirits, Garou Densetsu Special, King of Fighters '98, and King of Fighters 2000), 25 MVS carts (including Garou: Mark Of The Wolves, King of Fighters '99, and Metal Slug X), and one (soon-to-be repaired and modified) AES system (serial number unknown at this moment).

I got neo geo too
had hone cart system then neo cd now mvs. unfortunately if i still had the homecart system i think i might only have ten games maximum as most of the games i wanted are too expensive on home cart but on mvs i have now got my collection up to 27 games.

One question, to play MVS what do u need beside those MVS slots? (I mean standalone MVS, not the phantom converter and playing at home..)

To play mvs you really need either a neogeo cabinet or even a supergun like i got which i got from www.arcadeheaven.co.uk . its just as god as the home cart system but games are more cheaper and usuaslly totally uncensored

it even has full screen layout on the tv none of these border lines like the pal machines we have in this country. I have a slot too so i can just plug my neo controllers into the board itself.
