I've seen one or two Animal Crossing trading posts pop up here every now and again, but I was wondering if anyone knows of one outside of here?

One at IGN, one at GameFaqs, one at PlanetGameCube and several others just all over.

Most of the ones I've dealt with though suck. It usually just consists of fruit trading, NES trading or people begging to be traded items that can't be traded. Or even better someone offering to trade something that can't be traded. Every other post is just "Pleaze!!!! Some1 Give Me Puch-Out!!!!!!!!!!!!!11".

Besides, with the notable exception of one guy, everyone I've traded with from those forums were just annoying as hell. Sometimes it provides me with a funny story (like the dude who insisted I was trading with him when I was out of town...later to realize that it wasn't me like I said the whole fucking time.) but usually it's just...annoying.

I'd rather just work with the people on this forum.

Sure it's probably a little annoying or distracting there always being an AC thread but not really causing any harm compared to the endless spam threads all over. ;) .

Aside from trying to get all the fruit trees growing in my town , I really dont want to trade for stuff. I want to try and get the cool stuff on my own. Isnt that the fun of the game? Its like those people who buy a guide the same time they buy the game? I dont get it. SOMETIMES I will get a guide after I finish a game to find out the little things I would never have discoverd on my own.

I see the validity of that, but trading is also fun. 'swhy they included it in the first place, I'd guess.

Even still, I shudder to think how long it'd take to get everything in the game by yourself

The NES games alone would take years. You get two when you join, get one for your birthday and one for Christmas. You can sometimes get them at an auction and sometimes from Redd.

So of the guarenteed 4 games you'll get your first year, provided you're lucky enought to not get a double, you'd still need to play an additional 2 years to achieve 8 games total...again, lucky enough not to get doubles.

You might get lucky and Nook would have some at the raffle but the odds can't be in your favor for doing it in under a year or so.

But, again, I see your point. I guess it doesn't detract anything from the game for me to trade. More power to you.
