Well, it's realistic. That's why you need to bail out if you're mech is destroyed. Capcom is striving for an ultra realistic game with Steel Battalion.
It's a great idea and will separate the real gamers from the casual gamers!!

Have there been any demos or anything for this game so far? I kinda want to try it out before I preorder... Any impressions?

Or the rich from the poor. One of the two...
Anyways, I've been waiting for a game to offer some real consequences from failure - but this is a bad place to start. I have a tendency of... breaking things... and having a 200 dollar controller in front of me is slightly worriesome.

Or those you just flat out don't care and want capcom to release a Devil May Cry or a Mega Man on XBOX.

No way. I'll gladly take this for the XBOX over any other Capcom series or game. I've had enough Mega Man to last me a lifetime and Devil May Cry does not interest me in the slightest.
Steel Battalion is just what we need...something drastically different from all the other cookie cutter games out there. Sure, at its heart it's another mech game, but thanks to the included accessories, this is gonna be a console game experience without equal!!![]()

This is an amazing game, but im getting sick of people saying how DRASTICALLY different this game is. REZ is a drastically different game. Cosmic Smash is a drastically different kind of game. How is this so drastically different besides the controller?

Drastically different in that, after all these years, we console gamers will finally be able to experience a mech game THE WAY IT WAS originally intended.
Drastically different in that the control will be more like a real mech as opposed to using a handheld controller with its limited assortment of buttons.
Finally, we'll have a true mech simulator, not yet another mech GAME!

Speaking of great games that aren't that different...

Yes, Splinter Cell! I posted my thoughts about this incredible game in the thread about the latest demos on the new XBOX demo disc. If I could only buy one game this year, Splinter Cell would be it! I can't wait!!

If it has a first-time-through playing time of 20 hours or so I'll probably get it, but if it only lasts arround 10 hours then I really dont think having that enormous controller taking up shelf space for just one game is really going to be worth it.
(Not to mention the huge price tag)
And Capcom games have a history of being rather short.......</strong><hr></blockquote>
Then make sure to buy Shenmue II for XBOX! There's so much to see and do in that game it's scary! I love it! Game of the year!
