I had a chance to play the demo disc that came with my latest issue of the Official XBOX Magazine.

Let's just say that Splinter Cell (ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE), Panzer ORTA and House of the Dead III are all on my "MUST BUY" list!!

Splinter Cell in particular is my top choice for this holiday season...it's everything I hoped the previous Rainbow Six and Rogue Spear games were and so much more! The gadgets are genuinely useful (gotta love that fiber optic camera), the control is great, the enemy AI seems pretty realistic, and the game is just plain fun!

House of the Dead III...excellent! Better than I thought. The play control seems dead-on, even without a light gun. I may even spring for the light guns when I buy this game!

Panzer ORTA is everything it's been hyped up to be. A unique blend strategy and shooter with unbelievable graphics and effects. At first I was not convinced by reviews and screen shots, but play this once and you'll be hooked!

Man, the XBOX is definitely shaping up to be the system of choice! Somehow I knew this when I bought my XBOX on launch day last year!!

Haven't tried TJ&E3 yet. Also, must remember to try the demo of Chase.

Another thing I noticed is that some of the regular features on the demo disc are gone this month...for example, Top 10 Plays, etc. Maybe they ran out of space on the disc or missed the deadline?

i dont like the camera in the splinter cell demo.
i m to the school that it should be static as a
third person view and be controlled while pressing
down a specific "camera" button.
also you have to be in some gun mode to shoot.
spliter cell looks alright but kinda needs more work
i think.
do try out toe jam and earl though.
its mindless fun.
