After the intial run, the BBA adaptors have been erased from all major online stores including EB, GS, Amazon and especially Nintendo's own online store!

Well I'll admit this is a new scare tactic for Nintendo. Anything to drum up sales I guess. I dunno, I'm just not buying this one.

And much as I love PSO, I'm not taking the plunge for one online game. Come on, Nintendo, get with the program! :(

Something like this wouldn't work with a normal game, but PSO is like heroin to some people, they just can't get enough (BonusKun).

The game is uber addictive and fun as hell, so if they can get away with making you buy the game, adapter, keyboard, and pay a monthly fee, then it's just more money for them.

They got me suckered in, that's for damn sure.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's an awesome game, it's just that I basically played it to death on the Dreamcast and I don't have a lot of interest in this version, that's all.

You do know it's more than just a port? Three new characters, lots more music, double the levels. Nicer interface. A great game, and one that I will always love.

I bought a BBA from Nintendo's website on Sunday... the last place I could possibly find it (thank you Daisuke)... i tshould be here tomorrow.

I don't even know why I went after this game. I played the shit out of it on DC (600 hours) and i lost interest... even when version 2 came out, i didn't care anymore despite the new stuff.

i began to get interested in this version again starting from a couple of months ago, but a few weeks ago i lost interest for no reason and now just bought it anyway since i knew id probably kick myself if i didn't... now im kicking myself that i did (i need xbox live/mech assault money).

the only reason i got the gamecube version was because my friends will be playing it. im going to get the xbox version as well, which if anything, will be a better version.

so, maybe i waisted 100 bucks... at least i can always sell my bba when i get it tomorrow for 80 on ebay if i decide to...

hell, i don't even know why i was addicted to this game, it's the same thing over and over again and the combat system technically does suck when you think about it.

still, even though im somewhat bored, im still addicted now... ive barely played version 2 (only beat the first part of the vr mission) and maybe when i get online ill enjoy it more. i just feel like im paying 40 bucks plus 100+ a year extra just to play this game on gamecube when ill be getting the xbox version anyway.

by the way, are there ANY plans for ANY games to have netplay on GC so the bba/56k modem isn't a total waist.

i don't care if it's 1st party or 3rd party, just are there ANY games announced!?

I'm not sure about any third party titles but its rumored that Nintendo's next mini kart racing game, either being Mario Kart or Donkey Kong / Diddy Kong Racing will be compatable.

By the way the BBA is going for $60-$65 (average before shipping) on eBay!

Maybe they are doing a limited run on everything so when the next versions of the game and BBA is released any bugs that are in there can be weeded out?

hold up a minute.....

They even recalled the PSO game?>!?!

I REALLY thought it was weird that I coudln't get any through my distributor. I could only get them in a retail chain.

I must say, this is the weirdest thing I have ever heard. I wwonder if there is a problem with the Adaptor... and they need to fix it?! But why would they recall the game too?

Keep us informed if ANYONE hears anything... please.

btw,..... the modem is still widely available. If some huge recall was going on, there would have been a story on it by now. The game is a HUGE seller.

They are only going to sell a small fraction of BBAs to a small number (relatively) of people who buy the game and who want to play it online.

Business sense dictates not making it in huge numbers.

yeah, somethings up....
Their small numbers shortly turned to large #'s lol. although, in general they are right.... but... it looks like they underestimated the cube online popularity.

BTW.... I talked with a couple "people" we'll call them. Supposively they said there is a shortage (duh), but there was a slight mention of a manufacturing problem... or something wrong with the plant...etc.. Not sure exactly what they ment.
