Well I have a Japanese modem but on a Japanese system that was modded. I dont think there should be any problems with using a Japanese modem on an American system. From what NCS says, they parts are identical inside, and the only thing different is the region. Call NCS they should know. Plus I ordered an extra American modem just in case I break my Japanese one. I dont think I should have a problem with it.

I haven't seen anything that says it WON'T work, so I'm assuming it would be ok. I think some people are getting overly concerned because of how Square totally fubared FF XI.
