Gamecube: do i need mine modded

who has a modded gamecube and why do you think the mod was necessary?

my friend got his done at NCS and it's worth it if you import a lot of games...and it's not too expensive to do...I also thought they were producing a boot disc for GC?!?!?!?

You could do that

but there is a boot disc.

Mods are less painful than boot discs. But Boot discs don't void your warantee.

but are there games coming out in japan that wont make it to the u.s. that i will want?

don't know about that....

Normally, the awesome games make it here too...
Its more of a factor... do you want them 3 months in advance.

It's worth it.

I beat Biohazard twice before anyone in the states could even play it. Plus, you get everything early.

The main reason will appear in a couple of years, near the end of the systems life. With all systems (but Nintendo ones, in particular), almost inevitably an onslaught of amazing games come out in Japan a year before it dies that never see the light of day over here. Remember Saturn? What the Hell were they thinking?!

I Have my GC modded, and i love it, I will be getting soul calibur 2 import, and i also get to check out Japanese release only titles
