Why does it say REAL all over the 3do? some people said that it has "real" graphics, is this true? Where can I find some pictures of the 3do game system playing games?

So let me just say this. All graphics are real. Pong had "real" graphics. There really can't be any other sort of graphics. Of course I guess teh arguement can equally be made that since they only exist on a console or computer all graphics are artificial. Either way, your asking if the 3do has "real" graphics is still pointlessly stupid.

Real is the brand name that Panasonic specifically used to identify their 3do models.

now if you are asking if the 3do has realistic graphics...as in looking as if they are "real life" Well, again dumb question...the system came out in what 1993? So the PSX, Saturn, PS2, DC, etc are all NEWER...do they have "real" graphics?

If the R.E.A.L. sampler demo disc or their early advertising was any indication, 3do tried to push the system as having 'real' graphics aka FMV scenes. Like the Road Rash FMVs or the "Real Scream Shot!" dinosaur ad. Of course people then find out that the FMVs are just that, FMVs, and the actual game isn't like that.

Reminds me of the FF7 commecial that was just FMVs from the game.

I disagree, when Road Rash came out for 3DO, the cities were very phot realistic... Actually, they still look better then any other version I have played on Playstation. It was a great game!

I liked Burn Cycle, sure it was pure shit but I liked it

Road Rash was the reason I ponyed up $400 for a 3DO.

Skin Rash was the reason I ponyed up $400 for a doctor's appointment!

I believe that Panasonic named it's 3D0 console "REAL Player".

I don't know if Sanyo and the other makers of the 3D0 named theres'.
