"Sega has officially renamed the Xbox version of Phantasy Star Online to Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2, scheduled to release in Japan on January 16, 2003. The game will have all the features from the GameCube version, with an additional playable character. Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 will have voice communicator and keyboard support and the online fee will be 600 yen per month. Microsoft will bundle this game with the Xbox Live Limited Beta Program in the middle of November."

I´m getting the Cube version. Don´t care about 56k lamers, since i must be one of them for a while (propably). And i don´t want to spend alot of money on a big black piece of plastic. Even if there is one new character i propably never will use. I hope it´s a lame ass magician.

Poor Drift King, all mad cause GameCube gets exclusives like Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2, Sega Beach Spikers, and the PS2 gets games like Virtua Fighter 4 (haven't you played this game yet?), Shinobi, and even the new Virutal On game.

Too bad he's such a lamer who likes to think he's all cool cause he only has an XBox and he thinks that no good games make it to other consoles.

Well I hope you're happy with your PSO for XBox, with all 5 users out there in Japan just waiting to play you. And BTW, if you think the GC is going to have problems with cheats and the XBox isn't then you've TRUELY been blinded by your own fanboy-ism. The XBox is a PC for gods sake, nothing else is more hackable than that. Plus with your hard drive, it'll be even easier for the cheaters to hack your games. Aren't you lucky. :p

Xbox is great because of Halo, JSRF, and soon House Of The Dead III and Panzer Dragoon Orta.

PS2 rocks because of Virtua Fighter 4, Maximo, Ace Combat 4, Mark Of Kri, and soon Virtual On Marz and Guilty Gear XX.

The GameCube kicks ass because of Eternal Darkness, Super Monkey Ball 2, and soon Metroid Prime and PSO.

ALL the aformentioned systems will kick ass because of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4.

Get it? It's the games you dumbfucks. Every one of the new consoles is far from perfect. GameCube's memory cards suck (especially if you dig the sports game), XBox ships with the worst controller since the 3-Doo and takes up half your house, and PS2 is overall built as durably as a Somali shantytown.

The moral here? SHUT THE FUCK UP AND PLAY WHAT YOU HAVE. Enough of these goddamn rah-rah cheerleader posts for your precious system of choice. Why would anyone want to play online, when there are asswipes like DK out there, just waiting to play with you? I think I'd rather play 4 player split screen, everyone playing on a postage stamp, than play a game with such a fucking used douche bag asswipe motherfucker. I wouldn't have to worry about "hackerz, 56kerz or Game Sharkerz" either.

Um, considering I've already played the hell out of the Dreamcast version I really wasn't interested in the new versions.

By the way, just because the Xbox is broadband only doesn't mean there won't be any lag. I've seen cable modem networks that are pushed past their limit, as well as T1's so saturated that they make 56K modems seem fast. So don't automatically assume that your online Xbox games will be "perfect."
