Recently, I've been playing more and more puzzle games. I was the type that would play them, but never quite grasp how addicting they can be.

What are some of your favorite puzzle games?

There's greats like: Tetris, the Magical Drop series, Tetris Plus, Baku Baku, Bust-A-Move series (although I always felt it was more aiming than pure fun), Columns, Puzzle Fighter etc.

And another thing... all girls like them, amazing!

Tetris on GB is one of my all time favourites.

More recently: Puzzle Bobble 2, Puzzle Fighter, Pop n Pop and Baku Baku. Landmaker isn't bad either.

Baku Baku and Puzzle Bobble 2 in 2 player mode just get soo addictive

I wasn't as big a fan of Puzzle fighter as the others. It always felt that luck was more important than skill. Still good in 2 player though.

For some reason, I just can't get my head around Magical Drop & Money Puzzle Exchanger enough to be any good..

Don't forget Puyo Puyo/Kirby's Avalanche/Dr. Robotnic's Mean Bean Machine/ games. Puyo Puyo NGPC is a great portable puzzler. Also Money Puzzle Exchanger and Intelligent Cube I.Q. on Playstation are favorites.

I come from a family of proud Tetraholics. I even had the board game (It was basically you had the pieces and you had to organize them as quickly as you could on the board, getting as many lines as possible before time ran out. ) by Milton Bradley.

Sometimes, when I'm out somewhere doing "the numbers," I look at the tiling on the floor, and imagine the pieces coming together and forming lines like Tetris.

I used to think puzzle games were boring. I played Tetris, but I didn't get into it like some people do. Then, I borrowed Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo for the Playstation. At first the game pissed me off, because I didn't do very well... still, I couldn't stop playing. Eventually I became better. A friend of mine who is big on Tetris & Dr. Mario was watching me play, and wanted to play Versus, and there I decided that I loved the game... The Versus mode is insanely competitive. I never thought a puzzle game would give me such a rush.

Except for Magical Drop! For whatever reason, I've failed at getting any girls to try these games, yet they'll eat up games like Intelligent Qube and Puyo Puyo.

I'm a puzzle game geekazoid myself. Once I get to playing some Magical Drop or Puyo Puyo, I ain't moving for at least a couple of hours.

I never could get into Puzzle Fighter or Columns. Both of them seem to rely more on luck than your personal skill. And I've only got to play Battle Balls once on a screwed up color screen at a loud-ass pool hall, but from what I played it was pretty cool.

I'd consider Gal's Panic a sort of puzzle game too. Does anybody know if Gal's Panic ever made it to a home system?

Puzzle games are the greatest.

The Next Tetris is the best version, bar none.

You can hold pieces and use them when you want, there is an afterimage of where the piece will drop, you can create blocks that give you 4X the lines, you can pull up to drop the piece in place, and as an added bonus, you can play 4PLs! How does it get any better than that! It's the sole reason I keep my N64 around.

Other than that, I enjoy Puzzle Fighter, and Baku Baku on Saturn.

I love Super Puzzle Fighter, Doctor Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (really it's puyo puyo), Bust a Move, Yoshi, and Snood. Probably more but I can't think of them right now.

Oh yeah, Baku Baku as well. And Bomberman if you consider it to be a puzzle game.

Chu Chu Rocket is probably my all time favorite.
