I think Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete was an excellent RPG, with Final Fantasy IX coming in second, what do you think?

Holy Shit, talk about a loaded question. ;)

For me it would have to be Chrono Cross, but I'm biased since Chrono Trigger was my all-time favorite RPG.

Chrono Trigger was my favorite as well, but I didnt dig Chrono Cross. I tried playing it for several hours but couldnt get into it, so I gave up. Very dissapointed.

I'll second that. Suikoden is one of my alltime favorite RPGs.

I am suprised the whole world isnt posting Final Fantasy 7. I really dont see why so many people worship that game. Suikoden was an excellent RPG. And I suppose it doesnt count because it is a SNES port, but Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 are 2 of, if not are my favorite all time RPGs. They are both available on the PSX.

I love a lot of rpgs on the Playsation. Suikoden sticks out in my head a lot, but right now Chrono Cross is probably my favorite. The music in that game is some of the best music I've ever heard, and when it sets up such a good atmosphere, you can't help but be drawn in!

Note: Compilation discs from games that originally came out on other systems shouldn't count.

That is a tough question, PSX had a bunch of great RPGs.

The two that stick in my mind the most are FFVII and Lunar:SSC.

FFVII was just such a huge game, with a killer battle system and nice graphics (walking character polygons aside).

While L:SSC was a nice upgrade from its previous incartions with a slew of new extras and secrets.

Honorable Mention: Grandia

Yeah the Saturn did it first and it had a poor translation but it was still a great game.

I loved every FF game on PSone, especially IX. Great story.

I'm tempted to give Chrono Cross first, because the story line is so amazing, but the gameplay is definitely a turn-off. Strangely though, Chrono Cross is the only PSone RPG that I still play once in a while. The music is also so amazing and I like the tropical atmosphere.

Oh, since I'm sure I'll need this, can someone tell me again what I do to get the Green Tinkler that you use in Hydra Marshes? I remember I was supposed to visit this guy or something. Thanks in advance.

Head over to gamefaqs.com, look up 'green tinkler' in a faq guide, and I'm sure it will tell you. I thought a long time ago I scanned a page for you out of my guide.
