What has been filling your ears of late? Me:

1. LOTS of Bach, and his sons.
2. Strange Beautiful Music, Joe Satriani
3. Dimmu Borgir
4. Enigma's Love, Sensuality, and Devotion
5. Lisa Gerrard
6. An Zala: Samati of Uganda

How about you folks?

You have excellent taste!

Last night I went to see Kreator, Destruction, Cephalic Carnage, and December. That show is still ringing in my head.
I listened to Agent Steel and Nasty Savage on the way there and back. (old cassettes I scrounged up, my beater car is CD-less)
Other than that, I have been on a Nile kick lately.

My friend has been trying to get me into a lot of death metal here recently, but I'm having trouble adapting. Some of it is cool though.

Carcass
Children of Bodom
Liquid Tension Experiment - Vol. 1 (ALWAYS in my cd player)
G3 Live (Satch, Eric, Vai)
Eric Johnson - Venus Isle
Castlevania Soundtracks
Megadeth - Youthanasia
Grip Inc. - Nemesis
Overkill - Under the Influence
Robert Miles - Dreamland
Black Sabbath - Reunion
Oasis - Morning Glory

Been pretty busy here lately..

Had a good round of classical music and Jazz for the last two weeks, with some Latin/Electronics thrown in...

Up, Bustle & Out - "Rebel Radio Master Sessions 1" (a true gem, Latin/Cuban-style mixed with slow reefy downbeats, WON-DER-FUL, YOOHOO!)

Thelonius Monk Quartet - "Misterioso"

Bill Evans Trio - "at Shelly's Manne-Hole, Hollywood"

Franz Liszt - Hungarian Rhapsodies No. 1 and 3

Anton Dvorak - Symphony No. 5

Yeah, UB&O's Master Sessions are nearly too good. All those groovy funky riffs zig zag in my brain, it's a rare thing these days.

Do you know "Silks, Perfumes and Gold" from 97? Great stuff as well.

Ninja Tune is a cool label anyway.
