Am I the only person on this board who doesn't get a big-ass hardon about shooters?

I mean damn ppl

They are decent games and all that..

But I get sick of them too soon.

Now Puzzle games
RPGs
and Fighters

That's another story.

But I'm sorry..

Shooters just don't capture my interest like other games do.

Shooters interest me, but I'm not the biggest fan by far.
I guess one reason why I like them is because when playing one, it feels like the "Good Old Days" again, even if for 5 minutes.
A lot of my early game memories strings back to shooters on the NES and Genesis.

GregN. shooters are really "heh" to me unless you're a dude with a gun and not a ship.

the only real ship shooter i ever liked were Raiden Fighters Jet and Layer Section.

RPG's just aren't my type.

Shooters are one of my favorite genres, right up there with the Bemani stuff, fighting games, etc.

As always... YMMV.

I owned metal slug when it came out but until last month never got any more shooters as i usually complete them once and dont touch them again...but i got shocktroopers a couple of weeks ago and i love it and have played it many times although now i am getting bored of it but it made me order the sequal so i am getting into them a bit again., you really need a good variation in them to keep you occupied for more than a few days though.

When I'm at my local arcade Playin some on the edge of your seat Tekken 4 matches all of the wimps watch the game then they try to be cool and act all hardcore on the shooting games. Bunch of wimps. Shooting games are for people who wanna be all tuff but wanna take a shortcut by playin shooting games thinkin they are tuff cuz they have a gun instead of whoopin some ass on a fighting game. Wimps.

no time for RPGs. They're great for kids on summer vacation.

Shooters don't have to take up too much time. Like fighting games, I can play a shooter for 15 minutes and get my fix.

RPGs waste my whole day. So like I said, no time for RPGs anymore.

OK Orochidan, when I you see me use Kazuya and Heihachi and start wavedashing at your ass(yes I can wavedash) and bust some Electric Wind God Fists on your ass and then juggle you from here to Southtown you'll see. Or I could just take the gun from Time Crisis and pistol whip you. Orochidan why don't you go play LA machinguns or House of the Dead before I beat you up and take your lunch money.

Shooters are iffy. Either good or bad. The only one that I've played a lot is Einhander, and I love it. I'd probably like the, but I mainly play RPGs.

Well, as you know Greg, I love shooters! Especially shooter on the duo! It's all a matter of what interestes you! I know plenty of people who hate, and love them, all for different reasons. They just speak to me man! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
