Rumour: Ign reported that Capcom is currently developing Marvel Vs Capcom 3,the latest installment of the popular cross-over fighting game. This time the game would be released directly on home console, instead of making its way to the arcade.

Interesting... <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Is it supposed to be Vampire Soldier or MvC3. I am hoping for "Vampire Soldier." I want to see the supercancels and the juggling that should have been in Vampire Savior.

MvC2 is certainly a spazzfest. However, despite that and the button mashing nature of the game, it CAN be fun . . .

Rade, if you want to sell your copy, take a look at what they're selling for on Ebay . . . around $50 a pop, give or take. Seems its become "rare" somehow . . . I did hear that Capcom only made one pressing of the game, sold that out and never made more. Who knows . . .

Considering MvC and MvC 2 were two of Capcoms biggest selling fighting games ever, it's not surprising.

That's a common misconception, do you know how HARD the "long" chain combos are? Most of them take a lot of time to master, no one can just pick it up and starting doing 15+ hit air combos, no way.

The cheese reputation some give the games, are from newbies and lamers in arcades that just throw supers over and over, and do the same 8 hit combos they know with Wolverine. Play someone good and they will stomp your ass, I'm not a fan of the high jumps though, so VS. games do get old for me after awhile.

I consider them all Puzzle games more than anything, because of all the insane combos you can master in training mode.

well said, drift.

the Vs. series is really misunderstood. yeah it's fast and crazy, but air combos can become an art form if you're good at it.

but it is kinda less fighting-game ish.

there is QUITE a bit of strategy involved though! and some of the near-impossible combos just feel so nice to perform...

i think anyone with this slight misconception should give it another chance.

Hmmm.. Interesting slant.

I never saw MvC2 from that perspective.

Then again, I'm not a fan of air-jumping combos either.

Still, I got sick of that game pretty fast.

Take the air-combos out, or just cease to do them, and that game is a skrub-fest.

Sit down with some talented people and that game becomes GOD. I know this sounds impossible, but when you get good at it, there is a lot of strategy involved in the matches.

Alas....some of you will never know...
