After 8 long years of searching... bugging everyone I knew... bugging Playthegames.com who supossedly sent out scouts for this game but never got back to me, I FINALLY OWN RIVER CITY RANSOM *Downtown Nekketsu Story* for the PCE DUO!!!!

Special thanks to Mad-Gear.Com (Carlson) for having it! Man this game is the shizits! For all you RCR fans out there, if you don't own this find it (maybe Mad-Gear has another copy) I assure you it's every bit as good as the Fami version. Now I just have to play the NES one side by side with the PCE version (Ahh SCD!) and translate the game so I can find the Texas Boots!

I never even knew of a PCE Duo version of RCR. How much different is it from the NES version? RCR is one of my all-time favorite games, and I just got a Duo myself, so..... ;)

Well it doesn't look much different from the Famicom/NES version to be honest. It has the higher "Hyper 8-Bit" resolution that is the PCE, has voices of ppl talking when you enter a shop to buy stuff and has the music you remember for the NES version remixed for CD. Backgrounds like the park are fully visible and the clock hand moves at Crosstown Highschool in the begining. The game plays like Double Dragon as stated further above.

I started asking around about this title before the Internet went up. Then I searched online :) Oh I paid $140 bucks for it Rare, not a bad price considering the one other time I had it sniped from me by some bastard on Ebay it sold for $300.00

I have no complaints The game rocks!

I've only played the NES version, and that is great... I don't really need a PCE version, but hell, cool find :) Glad your search is over, now onto the next one!
