Well it doesn't look much different from the Famicom/NES version to be honest. It has the higher "Hyper 8-Bit" resolution that is the PCE, has voices of ppl talking when you enter a shop to buy stuff and has the music you remember for the NES version remixed for CD. Backgrounds like the park are fully visible and the clock hand moves at Crosstown Highschool in the begining. The game plays like Double Dragon as stated further above.

After 8 long years of searching... bugging everyone I knew... bugging Playthegames.com who supossedly sent out scouts for this game but never got back to me, I FINALLY OWN RIVER CITY RANSOM *Downtown Nekketsu Story* for the PCE DUO!!!!

Special thanks to Mad-Gear.Com (Carlson) for having it! Man this game is the shizits! For all you RCR fans out there, if you don't own this find it (maybe Mad-Gear has another copy) I assure you it's every bit as good as the Fami version. Now I just have to play the NES one side by side with the PCE version (Ahh SCD!) and translate the game so I can find the Texas Boots!<hr></blockquote>
