Just saw Spirited Away...

And OMG IT WAS FANTASTIC!!! The visuals were nothing but breathtaking and we seem to be one of the few movie theaters that got the subtitled version instead of the dubbed version, cool in some ways. The story was fantastic, it kept me at the edge of my seat along with the other 4 people that were there (sneak sneak preview ) I recommened you all to see it!!! Although I think it should be rated PG-13 because there is lots of blood in it. GREAT MOVIE!!!

I've had the official dvd release for some weeks now. Although I liked it I did not enjoy it as much as some of his earlier works of art.
As far as the dvd release it has english subtitles but no English language track although it does have a French audio track. Guess they were counting on the US release to take care of the English track.

I loved it as entertainment but something was missing. Joe Hisaishis soundtrack wasn't as great as the ones to Nausicaä and Laputa. Mostly filler material, not bad but nothing I remembered after watching it the 1st time.
The visuals are absolutely fantastic but miyazaki's movies aren't usually about great looks. They have a meaning and a message.
