I won an auction for the SFC version of AOF2. The guy is in France and he says the international mo from the post office isn't accepted. He said I have to get one from the bank. My bank doesn't have money orders and then he asked to send it through bid pay. I told him I don't have bidpay and he wants me to send payment for the auction in registered mail to France. I tell him it's not safe, but he insists it is perfectly safe. Is it safe or is it not safe to send cash through registered mail? I always thought it wasn't safe.

Most banks should offer some type of International cheque that you could send. Paying internationally can turn into a pain sometimes as I've sent cash through global priority on several occassions and had no problems, but that's definitely at your own risk.

I'd ask him for the money order back so that you could recoupe the cost of it and then go ahead and send payment through BidPay since he accepts it. BidPay's a great safe way to send money.

I never sent him the mo, because he wanted one from the bank and my bank doesn't have mo. I don't have bidpay and now he wants me to send it through registered mail. I think sending cash through the mail is unsafe. It could get lost and then we'd both be fucked.

The banks will usually offer a cashiers' check (like a money order too), which is good everywhere. I have sent Bank Of America cashiers' checks to Saudia Araiba, France, China,..., and it all went fine.

DO NOT SEND CASH
You usually do not have to be a member at a bank to have them make a MO for you. Try any large bank chain.
