I watched endgame last night on TV, and it got me wondering something I have been wondering for a very long time.

If Conner won the prize in the first movie... how are there 3 sequals and a show based AFTER the happenings of the first movie.

It just never made sense that he won, and then all of a sudden more immortals came that were older, the same age, and younger than him. Why didnt they count in the original contest (Im looking at you Duncan).

Ignore all but the first movie and the tv series, you'll be much happier.

yeah, i tend to agree. i love highlander, but there's almost no continuity to be found. that being said, i just try not to think about it, and enjoy all the head-taking goodness there is to be had.

Ok here we go oh_no

In Highlander: Final Dimension Connor makes reference to this he says that he thought he was the last but there must be another.

Another indecation one of the cops make reference to the fact that he and his love from the first movie were in a fatal car crash that killed her but he some how walked away without a scratch.

To true Highlander fans HL2 never existed.

I'll break it down simply:

Highlander 1 and 3 are legitimately connected. He won the prize in 1, but only becuase Kane and the other two immortals were trapped and could not attend the gathering. Once they were released, Connor lost the prize and therefore had to defeat Kane. Simple.

Highlander 2 happens in an alternate reality. It is not connected to any other Highlander related universe.

Highlander The Series and Highlander Endgame both happen in ANOTHER alternate Highlander reality, where everything from the original Highlander movie happened, but it wasn't for the prize. Highlander 2 and 3 never take place in this Highlander Universe.

Got it?

Highlander 1 and 3 are one universe.

Highlander 2 is another universe.

The Series and Highlander Endgame is another universe.

I love the TV series, but always thought that the movies were too confusing. Are they planning on coming out with more movies or is that pretty much it? The last movie sure made it seem pretty final, but with all the alternate universe crap maybe there's more left?

thanks for the info. that's too bad really. i liked 1&3 and the series, but not Endgame...too bad they can't really all be interconnected. on the other hand, i suppose its better this way, as that'd be one royally f-ed up timeline otherwise.
