Anyone have a Panasonic Gamecube Q DVD?

Anyone? Wondering if the dvd player has progressive scan and is there anyway to play US dvd's. Thanks for any answers.

The Q doesn't have progressive scan nore does it play Region 1 DVDs but I believe you could still mod it to play US GC games.

No progressive scan for DVD's. None of the current Next-Gen consoles do.

It will do progressive scan for games, though. You can mod it yourself to play games or buy one modded from NCSX.com for $450.

The DVD Mod hasn't been figured out yet, but most people (including myself) think it's not to far off....and even if it is, there will surely be a region-modifying boot disc within a month or so. Those HK engineers work fast.

I keep telling people it gets my vote for the sexiest piece of electronics available today...hmm...new topic.

I was thinking of getting one today from NCSX. Was just waiting for them to get more in stock. You should see the going price on ebay! Anyway NCSX told me the same thing about the no progressive scan on dvd's but yes for the games. So my question is are the PS2 and X-BOX capable of progressive scan on games?

Actually, I've heard that HK has already figured out the DVD region mod.
