Centered 90 miles south of Fairbanks.

There were no reported injuries, but I would like to hear from Biomotor_Unitron if he's all right.

That was the first thing I thought of when I read the news. Hope everything is okay with you Bio. I am sure Bobak understands as well as all of us in Cali that Earthquakes are no joke.

Didnt people spot a big bird in Alaska 2 weeks ago? They were saying that it could have been the Mothmen on the boards. Suposively they only appear when a dissaster will strike. Creepy.

It's interesting that you mention this Bobak, cuz CNN reported that an earthquake registering 7.7 on the richter scale happened in Indonesia about the SAME time too!

Well, I don't know if it was the same time, but it was pretty damn strange that it happens in two EXACT OPPOSITE parts of the world and their magnitude is similar.

Shocking indeed...Bio, I hope you're okay man.

We are all fine here, but something got knocked out at our ISP, and I could not establish a connection until now. It was a nice little trip we had this afternoon, just when we thought it would end it picked up again. Several aftershocks as well, not like the one we had a few weeks ago where it was just a sharp jolt or two. Not much damage that I know of, a few cracks in the highway, and a broken light cover here.

Hell I live anout 30 miles from the San Andreas fault in CA the end is always literally near !

Gotta love those smaller earth quakes we never notice , they keep the big ones away !

Im not really looking forward to another replay of 1989 myself

I am just glad it was not the fault line that runs through my front yard that decided to slip. ;)

There was a fairly noticeable aftershock at 10:55 P.M. AST last night. I was starting to wonder if it was going to build up to be a major quake, the way it was going.

Some rather good post-quake pics have shown up at Art Bell's site. Rather than Hot Link them, I will just give you the URL.
