This game finally went on sale today! I picked up a copy (launch day/first print, baby!!) and I've been playing it for 3 HOURS!!

My friends, Namco saw fit to include the option to SAVE YOUR HIGH SCORES! Doesn't sound like much, but after the debacle that we saw on the Sega Dreamcast versions of the Namco Museum and the Atari Collection where your scores were deleted when you shut the power off, all I can say is FINALLY!!

You get 12 FULL games on this disc...the ability to finally have the "Arranged" versions Pac-Man and Dig Dug (which I played to death at my campus arcade back in 1998) is worth the price of the $29.99 disc itself! Finally, the classic arranged versions are available on something other than the GBA or the PS2!

Longtime gamer or l337 newbie, you owe it to yourself to buy Namco Collection for your XBOX! It's really that good!

12 games almost makes that worth it.

I hated the conecept of 5 old atari games for 40 bucks.

10 initially...you unlock Pac-Attack and PacMania after scoring 25,000 and 20,000 points in Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man respectively.

But what's there is awesome!

*Pac-Man
*Pac-Man ARRANGED MODE
*Dig Dug
*Dig Dug ARRANGED MODE
*Galaga
*Galaga ARRANGED MODE
*Pole Position (announcer actually says "Prepare to Qualify! :) ")
*Pole Position II
*Ms. Pac-Man
*Galaxian
*Pac-Attack (unlockable)
*Pacmania (unlockable)

Plus you get the option of seeing the cabinet start-up garbage graphics! And again, the fact that it saves your scores is HUGE!

Dig Dug AND the arranged version! The arranged version has bosses, exploding enemies, huge rocks, and charging enemies, plus a scaling map screen. Great classic Namco modern soundtrack too!

I can't get enough of this wonderful disc! :D :D :D

The exact same thing with the same features is available on PS2 and Gamecube, just so everyone knows. ;)

No Super Pacman??

Only 2 games unlockable? They could probably fit damn near 25 on that disc with ease.

At least it's more than the DC ones had, like 4 or 5.

They NEED to release a disc with the original arcade Rolling Thunder and Splatterhouse.

The nes rolling thunder is not even a shadow of the arcade version.

There never was a snes or genesis version of those 2 games, so the ports there are arent very good (excpet splatterhouse, but not everyone has a FM Towns or Duo).

Also including the arcade Rolling Thunder 2 would be nice.

Seeing as I already have versions of those games for two other systems (well, three if you count Namco Museum for GBA, but it doesn't have all the titles), I don't think I'll bother buying it again.

However, for those of you who missed them the first few times around, this looks like a really good collection.

It's there. You probably didn't see it the first time....

That will probably be included in Namco Museum version 2.0 for the XBOX! Hopefully they'll make sure to include the little seen TANK FORCE on the next compilation as well! What a great game that was! :D

Cal me shallow minded

"Toy_brain, you're shallow minded"

But I kinda bought an Xbox to experience the verry best in gaming technology and sparkiling graphics.
If this were a GBA relese I may consider it (trust me, 12 old games WILL fit onto a GBA cart), but playing them on an Xbox kinda feels like a waste of perfectly good processor time.

Told you I was shallow-minded :D

I hear that, the Ridge Racer series is one of my favorites. I'd love to see a collection of the first 4 games from the PSX.

Y'know, I agree with that. A GBA version would make a lot more sense, especially when most fans of these games would have them on MAME already.

Amen to that.

A Namco disc or GBA cart with the RT and Splatterhouse series would be awesome to say the least... :D

Now that you all mention it, no Super Pacman is kinda weak.

Saving High scores would be a big plus.

The GBA version more than does the trick for me, though (pacman and galaga = heaven)

Hell, the PS2 Namco Museum was worth the $30 for me just to get the Arrangement titles- even if I already owned all 5 PSone NMs.

One thing is missing on PS2- you cannot "Tate" the games. You can on the PSone versions.

For a completely new NM volume, I'd like to see Galaga '88, Phelios, Rolling Thunder 2, Lucky & Wild, and the Steel Gunner series.

I'm not sure what you mean by "tate"? What is that?

They should release a collection of them both together....they could have arranged versions and arcade versions....have it include...

Rolling Thunder
Rolling Thunder 2
Rolling Thunder 3
Splatterhouse
Splatterhouse 2
Splatterhouse 3(not sure if this made it)

That would be nice.....
