I really don't want to fuck around with another BBA, as I did with my DC and ended up smashing my PSO disc.

Is 56k OK to play with?

Run smooth?

If so, expect to see my ass on the NG block tonight!

I'm gonna be on 56k, everyone I kno that uses it says it's fine..

On dreamcast the only time it lagged was when you played lobby soccer.

Depending on your ISP 56k might be harder to set up

After reading through the manual, it looks like the PSO servers are supposed to compensate for 56K "lag" somehow. Anyone I've spoken to hasn't ahd any problems with 56K.

From what I can tell, the only real difference between 56kers and BBAers is they download quests slower (duh), they take a bit longer to join games, and they get disconnected. Beyond that, it's all good.

Of course, I'm on a BBA, but that's what I gather from all the play I've done so far.

Any restrictions on dial-up ISPs this time around (ISPs with custom dialers weren't useable before)? Any free dial-up ISPs left that can be used with this game?

I just got it today and I have had no problems yet with the 56k modem. So it's all good from my standpoint.
