I played around a bit with it. I get an okay framerate but it's very unstable, sometimes it drops down to about 5fps or less.
It looks absolutely fantastic. The lighting and all the nice eye candy puts it way ahead of any other upcoming fps.
I'm hoping since this is alpha code, everyone will see a nice framerate increase in the final version.
Based on what I've seen in this leak, I'll definately be buying the final version.

I did. Looks fantastic but I deleted it after playing for five minutes. I want to wait for the final release to see the new stuff, plus the heinous framerate combined with it being extremely buggy (crashes A LOT) doesn't mean I'll be playing it anymore.

What's there, however, looks AMAZING.

My Athlon XP 1600+ / Geforce 4600 setup got crushed by this alpha.

I wasn't that impressed but it's early.

Got crushed how? I have a P4 2.5 Ghz with a 4600... do tell.

When I was just cruising along it wasn't too choppy. There are 3 maps with the first being the least demanding. On the other 2 when I got attacked by a creature it was a slideshow. Your P4 could be better. I was running at 640x480 so I'm sure it was CPU limited. Mine is a dual Athlon 1600+ and I did have a cancer research program running on the other CPU (UD). I often game with the app running though, and the overhead is small with 2 cpus. At any rate it's definitely NOT optimized.

20-25 fps with full everything (default). It only runs in a little window on my desktop, however... gay.

Super kick ass graphics. Too bad it's not optimized to run with ANY thing right now. Will be a breath taker when it comes out next year.

my friend saw it running on a 2.4 overclocked to 2.8, 2 gig ram, Radeon 9700, got about 16fps.
