This movie is awesome!!! Go see it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. Special Effects are incredible, continues a storyline you thought was over, and the ending leaves you hanging. I give it a big thumbs up!!!

It's unfortunate that all the good reviewers seem dissapointed and seem to catagorize this as a "popcorn flick" as apposed to thinking mans scifi like T2, T1.

I'm sure Ill have fun seeing this, but in the back of my mind...without furlong...James...Linda...its not really canon and mearly pure cash in.

Any movie attempts to cash in, but the ones that let you leave with a littel something are really worth it.

I loved T2 back in the day, and T1 is very cool, but the time travel plots are just kind of puzzling to me always and it takes something away for me. I wish they could somehow have done these movies without the time travel stuff.

I also just got back from the theature, and my impressions aren't as enthusiastic.

First of all, this movie has alot of one liners in it! I loved the sense of humor it has! The casting was great! The new guy they got for John Connor fits the part perfectly, as does his girl friend.

The special effects actually dissapointed me. Compared to T2 I truely would have to say T2 wins. Sure there are some CG effects that they just couldn't do back then compared to T3. But the fights where more personal, and the explosions etc seemed far more realistic.

Story wise T3 presented some interesting, if not downright depressing, spins on the Terminator mythology. And at barely and hour and 40 minutes T3 would ROCK!!! if it wasn't a Terminator movie that is. Everything that happened in T2, and the entire theme of being able to make our own future is all shot to hell by T3. And it just doesn't work. Its like painting over the Monaliza. Even if the new painting looks nice, what you destroyed in the process was far FAR more valuable.

T3 needed to be about 20 minutes longer with much more attention on the PLOT not just the action. Its popcorn fodder, but I still enjoyed it overall.

Not bad, but not in the same league (or universe for that matter) as Terminator 2.

crying :( eek_2 oh_no

Man, sad to hear this..

I love T2 so much.

Oh well, hope it's still worth seeing.

If not I'll play my T2 extended edition DVD and forget about anything else after T2.

Just returned from the movies myself and it definitely did NOT disappoint. Nick Stahl does a great job at replacing Edward Furlong and Claire Danes was probably the best actor in the movie. Arnold does the whole Terminator thing, nothing new, except he's more like the first movie since they don't reset his chip or anything(i.e.- Stone faced).

The chase scene completely blew The Matrix out of the water, simply incredible. The T-X turned out to be even more menacing and evil than I expected and the ending is definitely a fucking cliffhanger and MAJOR twist. Theres no way a fourth movie isn't coming, it simply has to in order to fill in the remaining story.

Meanwhile the music and cinematography were very much in the same vein as T2 and I wasn't ever unconvinced that this was a continuation of the story, even with a completely new John Connor. Great movie.

Great movie; definite sequel.
This movie ended like Empire Strikes Back sort of...in that you know there's a sequel coming.

Good stuff; some great concepts lurking underneath...like the inevitability of the Man vs Machine war (there's no way to prevent it from happening; its fate) and other stuff.

Plus there was a commando reference

Well I dont mean to make it sound terrible. But just dont go to see and compare it to T2 or you'll be really let down.

I hope they have an extended version for the DVD. There was plenty of great action, alot of great comedy, and solid acting performances. (as well as one really funny cameo appearance from a T2 cast member) Its worth seeing.

Considering that James Cameron writer director creator of the Terminator mythology had nothing to do with it, T3 could have been ALOT worse.

Still haven't seen it yet (us Texans) have to wait until JULY 8th I guess... but then I haven't checked the movie listings either, maybe it's already here too.

Anyhow, if Part IV is coming out, let's hope we don't have to wait another decade or poor Arnie will be in his 70's, since I understand he's in his early 60's now. Don't know how good a Terminator he'd be then.

He's only in his 50s. Like 52-55; saw him the other night on Leno.

Okay my bad about his age... even so, do we really want to wait another 10 years to see a then 65 Year old Arnie playing the Terminator. I guess they'll have to throw "Aging Processors" into the scrpit to explain to the ppl why A Cyberdyne 101 model always seems to look the same, but ages just like real ppl. If it was the "perfect" cyborg Arnie would look no different than he did in Part 1.

lol

Personally I want to see Conan The Barbarian III: Conan Of Aquilonia or something related to the old Robert E. Howard novels where the Conan character already had the kingdom of Aquilonia at about the age Arnie is right now. But go the John Milius route and make the movie realistically violent instead of kiddie shit in "The Destroyer" (part II)

the ending sucked balls. but the bathroom fight was hella funny and when a naked arnie entered the ladies bar and took the clothes from a gay stripper.

Dude, Arnold takes good care of himself. I bet when he's 70 he doesn't look nearly as bad as most people in that age group. He could be cranking out T-films when he's 90.

Just saw T3, and since I suck at reviewing movies I'll just give a few bullets...

-Best movie I've seen this year.

-Not nearly as good as T2 or T1, but that's like saying SSIII isn't as good as SSII & SSIV (IMO of course).

-Arny's return to box office gold.

-Fun from beginning to end, I can't point out a single thing I didn't like about T3. Unlike Reloaded, Hulk, X2, etc.

-The ending leaves plenty to do a T4, if there would ever be one.

Two thumbs up plus whose ever else's thumbs I could borrow. I will be seeing this in the theatre again.

In a word.....WOW.

Let's keep things in perspective...it's not as good as the first 2 storywise... It's missing a certain "soul" to it.

Now...it's still the best movie I've seen all year. Blow fucking Matrix 2 away. Fighting wasn't as fancy, but it was way more brutal and satisfying. The T3 highway chase was MUCH better...lots of destruction and some really nice stunts.

Terminatrix gets a buttrock thumbs up..she was menacing, and Arnold did hold his own for a while, but she was clearly out of his league, it was a bitch to damage her fromt he looks of it.

Wasn't too happy about the cliffhanger ending, but again, it was more interesting that Matrix 2's cliffhanger.

Definitely recommend it, you will enjoy it as long as you don't expect it to be better than T2.

I always love going into movies not really expecting too much and coming out pleasantly surpised by how well made the film actually is. T3 is no exception to this as I wasn't expecting too much, but I came out enjoying almost all of it. I have to admit, at first, I didn't think Claire Danes would be the right fit for the role of John's Girlfriend/Future Wife, but as the movie progressed, she fit right in and it would be a shame not to have her if they do make a 4th movie. The same goes for Nick Stahl, who I thought seeing the previews was just too skinny, but in retrospect, I think it adds to the fact that the character of John conner isn't a physically menacing character, but a character of the heart and of the mind. Arnold does his duty with this film, just like the other two. His portrayal of the Terminator is seamless, as if the previous two movies were made just a couple years back. All in all, this movie was written, paced, and acted very well. Surely, I thought this was a better sequel (or rather, a better installment of a story), than the Matrix. I give it 2 big thumbs up as well. I know there is gonna be a special boxed set DVD with this packed with extra features. It will buttrock

I watched the first half of T2 tonight on USA and good God! I forgot just how awesome that movie really was. I might have to check out T3 after all.
