Thanks to the great us sales. DW 7 didn't get what it deserved and now we gonna pay for that

sorry but I shouldn't blame the US market . it's the sites' and mags' fault ............. this game deserved more attention from them

(the game is dragon warior if you haven't figured it yet)

Sad, but hardly unexpected...

Kind of like what happened to RBFF for the PS way back in the day, wouldn't you say?

Needless to say, though, I feel your pain. *dusts off her NES and her copy of DWIV and sighs*

To be honest, I found DQ7 incredibly boring to play, I'm not surprised it didn't sell well. It's a shame that the port of 4 won't make it as I actually enjoyed that game quite a bit.

Dragon Warrior is awesome. I still play my NES carts as much as possible, in fact I just beat the first DW about 2 months ago. I never played 7. My DW exp is limited to 1-4 on NES and the remakes on SNES (Japan) and Gameboy Color.

And for anyone who cares heres THE DW site...

I really really love DW7. First rpg in a while that I really got into. I admit, it really drags the first 10 hours or so, but it picks way up after that. I agree, it deserved way more attention then it got.

The first Dragon Warrior got me hooked on role playing games. And DW4 was a great game when I owned it back in the day so I wasn't very happy when I heard the port of DW4 wasn't coming to the states.

Dragon warrior kicks final fantasys ass.

Maybe Dragon Warrior 16 will do to Dragon Warrior what Final Fantasy 7 did for Final Fantasy.

I don't see a DW4 article anywhere on that page or in the Nov. 1 news section. But anyway, it's not the fault of US buyers, it's the fault of Enix. There's no way in a million years that Grandia Xtreme should have hit the shelves before DW4. If you have enough money to market a game, do a game that enhances your mainstream rep, not a game that is a disappointment in every way compared to its predecessors.

Big fuckin deal, it already came out in English on the NES, and that version is pretty damn good. Part 3 is my favorite RPG ever, even better than 4, and the remakes for it were not very good. I'll take the original NES (SNES is pretty much the same I think) version over the GBC one any day. Just go play the originals or hope Enix gets their shit together to make DW8 sometime in the next million years.
