Katsuhior Otomo's Memories DVD Issues.

I won it off of eBay, two of them actually one is for my buddy Gasmouth.

I'm not sure if it's a boot or the real HK release. If it is fake it has some very high production costs because it certainly doesn't look it.

The translation is good and slightly messed up like a lot of the English captions from Asia.

But at the begining of each story (3 stories) there's a bug (as in a TV stations logo) that says "Manga" in the top right corner for a few seconds.

I've seen the movie before so I'm positive it's not supposed to be there, but it does sorta piss me off.

Anyone ever encounter anything like this?

p.s. it's not Manga as in the US/UK company, totally different logo.

i believe there is an official vhs of it
and am totally sure there is an LD of it,
one of which i havent gotten.
if anything the dvd is probably ripped from the LD
i ve seen alot of those DVDs too and ones of robot carnival.
its just me but i think they re just boots.
i got an AKIRA dvd long preceding the pioneer
revision and it plays but the DVD is unbalanced
(something around the center of the dvd thats throwing it off.)
and makes some funny sounds when its playing.
very cool movie, memories,
the manga of its just as cool and they almost
follow each other closely but not totally exact for magnetic rose.
i like the morning show jingle for stink bomb.
and the 3rd one is neat enough.
good stuff.
