Via a PW system. You go to Tom Nook and tell him you're sending out an item to someone. So he asks the name of the person and town you're sending the item to, and then you give him the item... then he gives you a two line PW that only works for the person you are sending to.

You tell him "other things" and then "hear PW". "Say PW" is what you do when someone gives you an item and PW. Great idea, great game.

You go to the trading post, you enter in the name of another person that has the game and the name of their town and the item you want to trade with. From there the game will generate a code for you. That code can only be used for the person you give the item too.
