Well in light of all the hoopla over UT2k3, lets see what the NG.com PC gamers use. Are you with ATI or with nVidia for your Graphics card?

I'll start it off:

In my desktop - GeForce2 Ultra 64Mb DDR
In my laptop - GeForce2Go 32Mb DDR (Upgraded from an ATI Rage 128 32Mb card).

My desktop can run UT2k3 at 1024x768 at 32bit color with all the effects turned as high as they can go, and I'm still getting over 60FPS. I wanna see if I can push it to 1280x1024 and keep the same FPS level, I guess I got a project tonight! :D

Peace

Nice topic... PC Video card is an ATI 8500 DV. Basically it's there for rips/combo vids (haven't gotten a good one together yet) and 2D emulation, I don't play first-person anything at all. (Because I get dizzy and throw up... don't tell anyone. :p )

Same thing for my Desktop and Laptop. BTW, how do you check FPS in UT2003? I thought I knew how, but apparently not. :(

I'm running an ATI Radeon 7500 with the latest Catalyst drivers and I too can push UT2k3 AT 1024X768 with full graphical settings without dipping below 60fps. Might I add too, that the water looks mighty purty in the jungle deathmatch map.

It's fun seeing the Nvidia logo at the beginning and running the game so nicely with a competing card. :D

Oh by the way 2000 posts...whoo-hooo!

Haven't played UT2003 Demo yet, but I'm hoping my setup can handle it OK.

It's what my new IBM ThinkPad A-series notebook uses. Works great!

nVidia GeForce 2 32MB in my desktop.
Lap top, is a nVidia GeForce 4 64MB. I can run Return to Castle Wolfenstein at 1600 x 1200, maxed out graphics options on everything (32 bit, blah blah), no slowdown. 60FPS constantly :D

Only running an ELSA Gladiac GeForce 2 GTS at the moment, and it is finally starting to show its age. Going to upgrade when I get the new motherboard this October, and upgrade my machine to a dual Athlon XP 2000. :D

i dont know but this has got to be the ultimate dick size thread.

and this is the ultimate dork quote:
I wanna see if I can push it to 1280x1024 and keep the same FPS level, I guess I got a project tonight! :D

i mean, how is clicking a little check box a project??!?!

as i allready stated... i have

a p 233 with 64 megs of ram and a voodoo banshee

and a p2 350 with 128 megs o ram with a kyro-2 (3d prophet 4500...power vr2 etc)

so needless to say, it runs at about 5fps on the p2 (processor most likely) and crashes when it tried to use d3d on my voodoo.

I too have an ELSA GLADIAC GForce 2 GTS
running on a P III Tulatin 1.2 @ 1.5 and my card is finally starting to show it age as well.

But still a strong performer.

I am still rather happy with it , it overclocks very well for a GF2 218 core and 375 memory rock stable, which helped loads in terms of raw speed and overall performance.

The newest Detenators help alot also.

Also in my Tulatin machine I have 2 Canopus Pure 3D LX II, 12 Meg Voodoo 2 boards in SLI , they consistantly run at 120mhz and are absoutly amazing with open GL.

Running way over 100fps in Quake II , I have been running UT and UT2003 with them and they leave my GTS in the dust at 1024X768 , of course that is the maximum resolution for them.

I will probably never get rid of them since the quality of the boards is off the scale.

I also have a P III 800 with a 3DFX 16Meg Voodoo 3 3500 tv in it and it runs pretty decent for gaming, again this is over clocked at 210mhz.

I did have a Diamond Viper 770 TNT 2 card a few years back , definitly the cream of the crop of the TNT 2 cards. also a very strong over clocker.
