Do you rent games or just buy them?

I only rent when I'm not sure if the game would be good or not.

Buy. I think the last time I rented a game was back in the Genesis golden years.

Damn, I must be one of the few who actually rent on a ratio of 40:1! I almost never buy a game unless it's an import that I would die to have or a game that blows my mind. Also, I always rent before buying (MGS-2 being the exception recently). It's the best way to know if you'll be getting your money's worth.

I quit renting games long ago, back when the 16-bit era was drawing to a close.

I never rent a single game in my life.
I'm afraid those games are dirty and will mess my systems.

Well, because of this I waste lots money on videogames, especially import games.

You just can't believe how much money I spent on those sorry import games for $70+ per game during Mega Drive/PC Engine/SFC period <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

I hardly ever rent games. I'm a hardcore fighter fan and basically i don't need to rent cuz either i've already played it at the arcade or one of my friends has it and I play theirs so i don't need to rent. And since I've prolly played it at the arcade or at a friend's house i will buy it as soon as it i can.

add one more thing:

I never lend my games to other people, even friends.

Because you might never see your game back in whole piece or gone forever

i always buy them screw renting them. i am always like a week late on my rents so i always buy movies and games never rent. the only way i would ever rent stuff again is like i consider pay per view renting a movie now i order that cuz theres no late fee. if they made a video game rent thing like that i would order games for a day to play cuz i know i wouldn;t be late on them lol

As I devote probably 70% of my gaming dollars to my Neo and another %10 to old 16-bitters like SNES and Genesis/MD I certainly could never rent before I buy on 80% of my purchases.

As far as DC goes I buy mostly import, so no rentals there either.

But for PS2 I try and always rent before I buy- and the funny thing is, I almost NEVER buy anymore.

PS2 games just have hardly any replay for the most part.

I can rent a game for 5 bucks and get the urge to play it completely out of my system in 5 days and save $50 bucks.

I sold every PS2 game I ever bought on eBay within 3 weeks or so of buying it. So for me, renting saves me alot of cash on PS2.

I work at an indie rental place, so I've found myself renting more and more (for free).

The cool thing is, the place I work at still has tons and tons (while, only a few) of SNES and Genesis games. Moreover, they have RARE games like Aero Fighters SNES, Streets of Rage 3, Rock n Roll Racing (Genesis), Snowboard Kids N64.

Now if I could only find those games to buy..

If I ever get around to buying a PS2, I can rent games for free there too.

I think I stopped renting games back when the NES went under. I can't recall ever renting a Super NES title, Genisis, Saturn, etc.

Buy, I always know what I want. Last game I rented was like Chameleon Twist 2 for Nintendo 64 at least 2 years ago lol. I only did it for when I don't have any money for a new game, and I wanted to play something new. By the way, that's a good game.
