What's the point of collecting US AES carts when Japanese carts are cheaper?

I'm getting ready to order a few Japanese AES carts for the first time and was just wondering, what's the point of buying the US carts? Since the import games play in English on a US console and are usually cheaper, I just can't figure out the point of collecting US AES carts. Does anyone else feel this way and just collect the Japanese home carts?

Japanese ones are the coolest to collect.
Not all games exist in english version. Thus a English version can never be 100% complete.
And the japanese insert art is way better than the english ones.
On top of that japanese ones are cheaper <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
Japanese is the way to go.

It's just because for many of us, europeans especially, US games are often cheaper than the JAP ones.

Some can argue why are you buy JPN homecarts when MVS is cheaper? Or why even MVS when there is emulation? It is just perference.

Actually not every japanese AES is cheaper than his U.S./Euro equivalent...
How about Viewpoint, Ninja Commando, Windjammers, Last Resort, Gan Gan, Top Hunter, Nam 75... <IMG SRC="smilies/cool.gif" border="0">

Prestige is a important thing...
The japanese artworks are much better than the european- or us-ones...looks more pretty!!!
=> Just take a look at the Insert of "Fatal Fury" and "Fatal Fury II"... There can´t be better artwork IMO!!! <IMG SRC="smilies/smirk.gif" border="0">
I hate these grey-border of the european- and us-ones...looks extremly shitty!!!
So in fact the japanese carts looks more brilliant than the others...i got the whole KoF-Series as JPN-ones, but most of my carts are still EUR/US!!! <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

a game is a game ! US - EUR or JP ! who care the pleasure is the same. And for most of the neo game you don't need to consult manual.

Personally I prefer JP when I've the choice - But if I find an US garou - I'll take it man. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Why collect AES carts? MVS ones are definitely the way to go, much much cheaper than the AES counterparts.

And as for the artwork, well you can make it however you want it to looklike if you put the games in Shock Boxes :p

But, some people want the AES version. I must admit they are pretty cool to have, but it's just too rich for my blood. Japanese ones do have some better artwork, BUT the US ones look a lot nicer when you have the collection sitting there, as you can read all the titles (if you speak/read English).

AES, MVS, or CD? Japanese, US, or Euro? It could be debated till the cows come home, but there is one thing we can all agree on...

No matter what you choose to collect, it still looks better than a ROM collection! :p
