What is the best way to ship games from the US to the UK? I want to make sure it arrives safely without spending a ton of money.

Thanks

i usually get my games sent to me from mdgamesales, he sends priority which without insurance is 12 dollars per cart, with insurance it goes up tp 20 though, its a very expensive business and just recently when i have been receiving my games, i have also had to pay custom charges if i have had the parcel insured, i had to pay almost 70 dollars customs for kof2000 as it was put with insurance 300 dollars

,now i try to get my games from england

I would first see how much it is to send Airmail or UPS. Airmail is fairly cheap; UPS is trackable and has been good to me. You can also prepare UPS tracking labels from anywhere if you sign up at www.ups.com and pre-pay with a credit card and just drop the package off at anyplace where UPS packages are picked up--your workplace, Office Depot, a drop box, Mailboxes Etc., etc. I try to use www.ups.com for all my shipping 'cause it's very convenient.

I use EMS. It's a bit pricy at times, but it gets there fast, it's tracked, and it includes insurance usually up $500 or more. I like it because of it's safety and reliability.

Nowdays i always use EMS for speed & reliability not lost any of my >100 packages. Normal postage by national postservice i wouldn't recommend.

I only use EMS and UPS for shipping to and from the UK. They're not the cheapest options, but if the items themselves aren't cheap, don't take any chances.

I will chime in and say I use EMS for most of my shipping outside the states as well. Sure, the PO was slow during Christmas, but they have picked up since then... for obvious reasons.

Hello dude - i received a package from mommywolf and it only took about 7 days over Christmas and she told me it would cost $14.50 but in her ad she said free shipping in the US, so she worked out the difference and only asked for £8. Its normally about $14 for one cart but i received 10 carts from a guy in Brazil and it only cost $25 but normally i buy games from techman@rapfire.net on ebay and he normally charges $18 for 2.

So far all my carts have came though normal federal express

normal airmail works fine, I haven't ever had a lost package to or from germany, from/to USA. it's cheap too, and less likely to get caught by customs (yes, even packages that aren't sent by a store can be stopped and checked by customs). average delivery time is 5-14 days.

To the UK use EMS. It's very quick, and very secure and of course you get tracking numbers.

To make things cheaper and more secure ensure the item is in a fairly large box (not too large, use your common sense) so that it's not too small to get 'lost' .

Next ensure that the item is marked on the docs as having no commercial value and contents are worth less than $50. This way you will avoid paying our personal import duty - which is bloody expensive.

If you're posting your end using USPS it will be delivered in the UK by Parcelforce. Parcelforce will change the tracking numbers automatically to their system when the goods enter the UK - so you can still track them.

Using Fedex, UPS, DHL etc. you won't need to worry about that - but these services cost more and I don't think they're as good as EMS for this type of service.

Any further questions PM me.
