I sold my cousin my cheesy PlayStation (the old one) for $300 because he was desperate for the old style console, man that was a scam, since they sell for $50 in second hand shops.

Anyone else sucked in their relitaves?

-BTW I don't scam online it's lame, I homour online honesty.

I bought a US Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout for PSX from someone I met on an AOL message board for only $25 shipped. :)

Wow, if you'd screw over family like that, I doubt you'd think twice about doing it to people over the internet. <img src="graemlins/shame.gif" border="0" alt="[Shame]" />

Shows a lack of personal security and a consciounce to be able to pull that off with pride and a devil smiley. I guess you need to rethink your code of morals, and perhaps apoligize to the person and refund them what they deserve.

In a family event I feel this is most disgraceful. Here you are a game fan who shares that interest with one of your relatives, but lack of embracing those similarities, "instead" you decide to rip that person off and feel good about it.

What comes around goes around, a old tale which proves right time and time again. Now that this has been leaked who is to say we can trust your well being in a deal? I thought you were a sarcastic guy with good taste, but due to this I have to withdraw my opinion.

Either A: Be up front with who you screwed and rectify the situation by giving a refund.
Or B: Just high tail it, we really have enough people with stealing ethic here who feel thats okay.
Its real sad the state things are in.

Do the right thing. For once I'd like to see that.

You really think I should refund the money? Sure it might make me feel better knowing that I got paid the 'real' price, but look at all those sellers on ebay that pull that stuff off everyday - they don't feel guilty about it.

So that justifies the situation? I totally disagree. People should not be like lemmings and follow each other off mountains.
Ebay is full of idiocy beyond belief. Take a look at what you did, realize you have no excuse to back it and refund the money. You will feel better about yourself when doing so.

Your youself said scam, when was a scam in any form something to be proud of? Or should we digress on watergate?

Trust me. Do the right thing.

Im glad you see my point of view as a help instead of a insult. You have the right to over charge as the owner of something. I have such a creepy standard myself, almost obsessive that I cannot sell anything unless its exactly as stated.

So lets say I suddenly decide to sell a HC of mine, and oops the case has one to many scratches, even through a scan that becomes impossible to note. Therefor I can't sell it without a feeling of guilt even if the buyer is happy.

My way out of this would be to send it to the buyer as a trusted person and let them inspect it. Its just to bad its not that easy, as 5 out of 10 on a maximum would steal the game and not contact me at all.

Translation: Forget about it. Just like "everyone else", I'm out to make a 'few extra' bucks. It's all about the strong surviving... ruthless agression.

I admit, scamming a relative is pretty low. To feel good about it seems even worse.

I assume you thought people would applaud you for this and think that you were rather crafty. I guess you realized that it didn;t turn out that way.

To justify that ebay sellers do it is also illogical. It's far easier to scam a faceless stranger than a relative in person. Also, ebay doesn't scam on prices. It sells what people are willing to pay, many people. You robbed your cousin.

Think he won't ever find out what used PSX systems sell for at regular retail markets?

Haven't ever scammed people, probably won't ever unless they deserve it. It's not fun, especially when it happens to you.

When I was five, and I was in department store with my mother and she refused to buy this tiny toy car for me, I ripped out of the box and stuffed it in my pocket, after we got home my scam was exposed, and she yelled at me, like for an hour :D

Haven`t committed any crimes since.

You really should see to it your family is taken care of. When nobody else is around, you can count on family. Not just for them, but also for you. When i deal with family, it's always a gift if i give them money. If they pay it back; great if not; it was a gift to start with. Being an honest person to deal with will pay you back 10 fold in the long run. Several people on this board are top notch sellers and i'll return with more business. I'll buy from them even if they charge a little more because they have a solid understanding of these principles and know how important it is to value integrity. Money isn't everything; it's only good for buying necessities and fun and should be put in it's proper place. When your view of money is skewed and you hurt yourself and others to get it, that's called greed.
