I'm going to buy JPN version and just wonder if it has language option like Silent Hill 2?

Problem is I have JPN PS2....
I have several US PS2 games (still in shrinkwrap) I can't play unless I get US PS2.
You might ask me why I bought those US games? Because those games come with gun (time crisis 2 and Vampire Night)and I might get US PS2 later.....
But I really want to play English MGS 2... <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

Can't you have your system modded to play all territory games? Seems like that would be the best solution . . .

Unfortunately Chimp, the PS & PS2 mods are a pain. No one has come out w/ an effective PS2 mod yet and he doesn't want mod protection put on future games so he can't play it at all. Capcom did this with games like Bio Hazard 3 and Dino Crisis. It checked if your system was chipped and if it was it wouldn't let you play. I think LS is trying to avoid this.

OK thanks for that info Tom. I didn't realize that the PS2 mods weren't very reliable . . . shame it can't just use a boot disc like the DC, makes things VERY easy for import games!! <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

I heard Sony created the system to reset if you press the eject button. Supposedly to keep people from using boot discs and swap tricks. Unfortunately, if they ever do reach the point where they have multi disc games, it's going to be a pain in the ass.. <IMG SRC="smilies/ohno.gif" border="0">

That's why I say importing sony shit is a pain in the ass.
It may be worth the trbl for Saturn and other systems, but Sony goes out of their way to make it tough for the "'ardkore".
Yea, MGS2 JP might have better cover art, but that's all it has.
