The 'Star Wars Cristmas Special' thread bings to mind other films/TV shows that are so incredibly and amazingly bad that they become entertainment of the highest order.

The king of badly done/entertaining films happens to be (IMO) Rudy-Ray Moore!

If you don't know who he is, you may know him by his alter ego: DOLEMITE.

Rudy Ray Moore (Dolemite) made 4 or 5 films in the late 70s/early 80's that fall into the 'Blaxploitation' category.

Dolemite
Dolemite 2: The Human Tornado
Avenging Disco Godfather
Petey Wheatstraw: The Devils Son-in-Law

These movies are freakin' unbelievable!

The Dolemite character is a Kung Fu fighting, rap-rhyming pimp!

I am not even going to try and describe what happens in these films....

These movies are so badly made you actually see the boom mike in several scenes. The acting is beyond description as well.

Anybody else know what I'm talkin' 'bout?

The Story of Rikki-Oh.

Thats the funniest movie I've ever seen.

For those of you out there who dont know of it here is an interesting fact...

When Craig Kilborne(sp?) hosted the Daily Show on Comedy Central, before he did the five questions a clip would be shown of a guy smashing someones head. That clip is from this movie!!!!

My sister has a masochistic habit (pun intended) of renting Sister Act. What a shitpile.

I love Dolemite! I got a poster of him on my bedroom door back at home. I also have the french poster from Jack Burton dans les Griffes du Mandarin (you know what this movie is...)

A movie that really fucking stinks is Fantasy Mission Force. I have it on DVD, you know, the kind of DVD that was basically ripped from someone's bootleg beta cassette using a shabby ATI All in wonder (no offense, I have one myself) video capture card. Anyhow, FMF is an old Jackie Chan movie that really isn't about Jacky Chan, but a ragtag group assembled by a crack general on a mission to retrieve nazi gold. The group consists of a bunch of con-artists, stunt masters, and sharp shooters. What the group isn't prepared for are the zombies, wizards, and amazon cannibles, that and the fact that they mostly hate each other.

edited to correct my french.

OK, Dolemite 2 is only good for the first five minutes. I think what happened is RRM started taking his style seriously, and it went downhill. Dolemite was awesome though. I love the Hamurger pimp - "Yeah, I so bad I kick my own ass twice a day."

This movie was so (somewhat intentionally) bad that I had to buy it on DVD (used of course):

Dude, Where's My Car?

Great movie to watch when drinking with friends. Kind of like Leprachaun.

I also dug Critters 1-4

Lesse, my list of movies so bad they're good:

Razor-Sword Of Justice
No Retreat, No Surrender
Commando
Conan The Destroyer
National Lampoon's European Vacation
MST3K episode: Manos, The Hands Of Fate (BEST...MST EPISODE...EVURRR!)
Overnight Delivery
Dawn Of The Dead (c'mon, admit it...it's hilariously bad, which is really the point anyway)

More as they come to mind...

Last night, on TBS, I saw about 20 minutes of a movie called Most Wanted. Judging from what little I saw, the whole movie seemed to reak of "made-for-TV movie" quality (even though it wasn't). There was one part, however, that I couldn't stop laughing at. There's this one scene where the main character is being chased by all these people on the street, and when he tries to elude them by running into a busy freeway, the people follow him. Funny thing was, although the guy made it out unscathed, the crowd chasing him all got hit by moving cars, trucks, and SUVs, causing a big (and hilarious) mess on the freeway.

By the way, does anime count for this list?

I remeber a few years ago when I was in college, the neighboring movie theater showed an old-school 70's John Holmes 3-D Porno flick as its late show (I think it was "The Lollipop Girls in 'Hard Candy'"). now that was funny stuff. It ran for over a month to full houses -guys and girls chanting "fuck, fuck, fuck" (there was a lot more story than there needed to be).

I'll also watch just about any movie Steven Segal and John Claude Van Damme are in.

oh man... a couple years ago I saw a movie on Cinemax called Jack Frost... it wasn't the one with Michael Keaton though, it was a different one. It was about a serial killer who got killed when he was being taken to jail and then his DNA spills out into the snow, mixing with some experimental acid, and then he becomes a killer snowman. No, really.

Absolutely hilarious. The dialogue is soooooooooo bad!!!

Hey GregN. don't be dissing Toxic Avenger now.

My cousin Raymond played Dogman in Toxic Avenger II and III. Ain't that some shit? I remember him showing some picture of him and his girl friend from the movie "Donkey Woman" I never laughed so hard in my entire life. He also plays dead bodies on shows like NYPD.

He's a really great guy. It's too bad he's in his 40's still living with his mother trying to pursue his acting career

Oh here's some real bad movies.
The Punisher w/ Dolph Lundren
The Incredible Hulk Returns (That Thor sucked so bad!)
Swamp Thing Returns
Gotta include Riki-Oh that shit is so funny
also the Sword and the Sorcerer.

I've seen it too. A bunch of us rented it because it looked retarded (althought the box looked neat, sadly the creature on the box isn't in the move )

We all busted up when the freak sled accident lops off that kids head

Actual dialogue:

Tommy: What the heck are you?
Jack Frost: The world's most pissed-off snow cone!
