Today i got Ikari Warriors on the NES so i've started playing my NES again. I wondered what is everyones favourite NES game?

Mine would have to be "the new ghostbusters 2" that game rocks, double dragon 2 coming in a close second.

on a side note can anyone tell me the cheat for ikari warriors as its extremely difficult.

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest...absolutely the pinnacle of 8-bit game music.

Mike Tyson's Punch Out -or-
Excitabike (probably the first "x-treme" sports game ever, and definately the first with a "build-a-track" option)

I'd have to say Super Mario Bros. 3, and FYI I'm saying this even though I don't like Super Mario Sunshine, so hopefully that counts for something.... ;)

Don't feel bad Phoenix, I love all Mario games as well but I just can't bring myself to liking Mario Sunshine.

I loved Mario64 but I realized that after trying Banjo, Jak and Dexter, Mario Sunshine and games of those ilk, I just don't like 3D platform games. Because they aren't really platform games, they are hide and seek games. They hide the object you are after and you have to find it. There is hardly any platforming. Mario Sunshine is a good game and I will still play it till the end but it isn't a great game like Mario64 was. Just my opinion.

I would love to see some devolopers try a 2D platform game with todays systems, and NO 2.5D games either! I mean pure 2D goodness. I know that it will never happen outside of the GBA but oh well.

Too much to list for me but:

- Mike Tyson's Punch Out
- Contra
- Castlevania
- Legend of Zelda (remember the gold cartridge :) )
- SMB
- Metal Gear
- Track & Field 2
- Commando (maybe not a success but was fun to play for me nonetheless)
- Ikari Warriors (I would have never thought I would still be a fan of those 2 unknown guys after nearly 12 years ;) )

And a whole lot more... my worst mistake ever was to throw all my carts in a garbage bag about 6 years ago <img src="graemlins/loco.gif" border="0" alt="[Loco]" /> <img src="graemlins/veryangry.gif" border="0" alt="[Very Angry]" /> <img src="graemlins/blowtop.gif" border="0" alt="[Blow Top]" />

I'd have to say it'd either be...

Super Dodgeball, Tecmo Super Bowl or maybe Pro Wrestling.

Honestly there's so many games that I like that it's too hard to name them, or to actually sit and wonder why I like them. Is Pro Wrestling really that great? It's good and I like it a lot because I played it whenI was little. But a game that still stands the test of time would probably be most important.

I know of the stage select cheat and the continue cheat. Not sure which one you need, but the continue is the easiest one to remember:

To continue, press A, B, B, A when you lose your last man.

Without a doubt, Bionic Commando.

The second NES game I ever owned, and still one of the most amazing games I've ever played.
