Starfox adventures cheats . . . i dont get it.

Ok so I threw a bunch of cheat tokens in the well in the maze, and as far as I can tell nothing changed. So I figured maybe they didnt take effect until I finished the game. Well I beat it a few minutes ago, and I still dont see a change. What and where are these cheats its talking about?
