MS3 Question please help

I have MS3 for the AES and on the back cover it shows and ostrich that you can ride on, I have played through the game a good few times taking various roots, but I can not remember coming across the ostrich!
It may well just be me and my bad memory forgetting about it, but could someone please help me out and tell me on which level it is found and it there is a certain root to find it.

OK here's what you do.

Ostrich is on Third stage -

Shortly after the stage begins you come to a big underwater platform - it shoots torpedos at you. Blow this up.
You advance a little further and you come across another platform.
DO NOT DESTROY THE PLATFORM!!!!
Instead stand (swim?) back and avoid the torpedos (or shoot them). After a couple of seconds a large tube slides down the platform stopping two thirds of the way up.
ENTER THE TUBE.
You'll end up in an industrial area with loads of Mordens troops to kill. You'll find the osterich here.
Sadly you can't fight the big robot at the end with it <IMG SRC="smilies/ohno.gif" border="0">

I knew that, but what *I* want to know is, where the hell are these sasquatches and the elephant I hear about? Something with an ice mountain? Okay, where the hell is that?

ok i think taht is in the 2nd stage when u fight the zombies and then you make your way up a hill and get the little monkey and then you jump off the side instead of going to the right and keep killing guys go to the left. tehre shoudl be a wayya blow it up and enter in, i know that is a huge ice area and i think the sasquatches are in there. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Hmm, well I tried it, but it didn't work. Is it BEFORE the monkey? I get the monkey, drop down and then try to go left, but it will not let me.

Spike there is a doorway just after you drop down with the monkey to your left saying Ice something above it, once you are in the cave you will scroll to the left for quite a while killing those things with ice breath as you go, then you can go no further it asks you to go back the way you came but before doing so, there is a load of ice on the floor with sothing in it, which you jump over a shoot down to reveal the Elephant.

Spike I have just looked again at it and it is a bit further on than the monkey, it is past the first drop down, then past some helicopters, then a little further until you get to a slight drop/slope there the entrance is to your left with a sign above it saying “Iceman”
Hopes that’s of help.

Spike...when you are in the cave you can also pick up a battery when you are on the elephant which can give you a special shock attack.

Ah ha. Well, I'll try it again next time my friend and I have a go with the game. I would like to see what I'm missing. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Wow I would have never found those ostriches because I never go that way. Thanks! They are way cool! I wish I could use it on the Robot boss because I simply cannot beat him!!!! <IMG SRC="smilies/veryangry.gif" border="0">

Ian: where is the battery for the elephant? Is it right when you get him or further down?

I know the question was not directed towards me but you get the battery a bit afterwards.
