Blood Wake for XBox is AWESOME!!!

Well I've been playing Blood Wake for the XBox since 12/29, and its FANTASTIC!!! I'd been looking forward to this title for MONTHS since I read the early reviews, and the game is VERY cool!! The story mode has 27 different missions, I've completed 5 so far and they're a BLAST!! The graphics of ships, water, and weapons are really cool, and the control is really great too. Overall, this is a game I was looking forward to for a long time, and it hasn't disappointed me in the least, its a VERY cool game. Anyone with an XBox who might be interested in this kind of game should check it out, I must say that I'm amazed at the quality/playability of this game . . . <IMG SRC="smilies/eek2.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/eek2.gif" border="0">

I thought it was going to be something like "Dead in the Water" for the PS which just sucked. Man, was I pleasantly surprised when I played this game! One thing I love is the water effects, simply awesome!

Well I've been playing Blood Wake a bit more, now on the 8th mission and I've also unlocked some new play modes and ships. Haven't unlocked any new arenas yet, hopefully those will come soon. One of the new play modes is player against a fleet of other "clan" ships in a given area, and you try to kill as many enemy ships as you can and survive as long as possible. Like deathmatch in an FPS against enemy "bots" (ships), and its a BLAST!! Water effects in this game are INCREDIBLE, environments can be calm, rough, or stormy (with rain). Also you can hit some big jumps and go airborne pretty nicely with your ship. There are quite a few different ships equipped with different weapons, like mines, rockets, and mortars (plus machine guns of various types mounted on the front for chewing up other ships). And the missions have a lot of variety, are very challenging and fun . . . overall I really LOVE this game and hope that down the road we get a sequel, there are all kinds of possibilities . . . <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Is it like the old Genesis game Bimini Run?

I saw this at my friend's store, it looks AMAZING! I did not have time to try it out, but damn, it looks like fun. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> I will give it a go this weekend, and post my further opinions afterwards.

I'm pretty far and I still haven't unlocked everything there's alot of stuff.

What's crazy taxi next?

I'm having a bit of trouble with mission #8, where you have to cruise through a bunch of islands and into a port area, and sink two freighters. I can get into the port area, and even managed to unload a bunch of ammo into one of the freighters, but there are so many gun emplacements and other enemy ships that I usually get slaughtered WAY too quickly!! (Usually just the gun turrets on shore in the harbor area wipe me out). But wow this is one INCREDIBLE game, and the "deathmatch" mode against other enemy clans is a blast as well!! I really hope they do a sequel to this game, its worth it!! <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
