Looking for KOF 2k1 MVS...

I'm wondering if I should buy KOF 2k at 200$, play it to death, then get 2k1 when the price drops down or go with 2k1 at the 800$ price mark. I have this uncurable decease going on that I must play and own every kof available <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0"> Any suggestions? I know a lot of you hated 2k but remember in replying that 99 is one of my favorite (mostly because they have updated Clark moves <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">). I do own 98 also but I play it a lot less than 99. I don't know, maybe I should be that narrow minded when it comes to playing with a character. It's like Ralf and Clark are ALWAYS in my line-up. <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">

Anyway, what's your opinion... Should I get 2k before 2k1 or just forget about it and buy 2k1?

We have a lot in common kof99 is my favorite along with 98 although i play 99 the most, i also have kof2000 on mvs and believe me its not worth the money when you can use that to go towards kof2001, after the price will go down on kof2000 shortly and i played it to death in just two days and now i keep it locked away in its mvs box always as the most expensive full kit i ever brought
. 99 is great 2000 is not i cant speak for kof2001 but 800 is still a lot for any game

KOF 99 seems to be a big disappointement for a lot of fans of the series and yes, the moves are easier to perform on 98 but damn, the best KOF game would be a 98 engine and graphics combine with all the fighters from 94-2001 with all the newer moves they've included, now that would be awesome! I'll probably wait though and buy 2k at something like 100 and 2k1 at 250 so I'll get both to add to my collection <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

Jason x will be cool and halloween 8
In England we wont get them till october which will suck.

I think kof 99 hs the best cut scenes and is the most polished of all the games, even endings are good and that park background is awesome, the aquarium background in kof 2000 is 8 bit crap

as for my top ten fav games

1.Quackshot..genesis
2.Samurai shodown 2
3.Fatal fury 2[memories]
4.kof99
5.street fighter alpha 2 playstation.
6.toejam and earl..genesis
7.sonic the hedgehog.. genesis
8.desert strike ..genesis, snes version was censored
9.last blade 2
10.James pond 2 genesis


as soon as kof2001 comes to 250 i wil get it too <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
